College Sports Nation from Sirius XM has been at Michigan today, and the interviews have been GREAT. Harbaugh just told a story about how WIlton Speight and John O'Korn have been trying to secretly gain the upper hand this summer.
Harbaugh said that each of them were calling the receivers and running backs for throwing sessions this summer, and they didn't want the other guy to find out about it. The plan blew up when Speight called one of the receivers who is O'Korn's roommate. O'Korn found out about it and showed up at Speight's "secret" throwing session.
"I loved it," Harbaugh said. I love it, too.
And anyone who thinks Harbaugh is bad with the media needed to be listening to that interview. He was engaging, forthcoming, funny and sounded like he wanted to be there.
(EDIT: My apologies. He has apparently told this same story a billion times this summer and I've missed it. So it's a great story but not a new story.)
Freeze said Monday that he staged a mock funeral for himelf as a way of getting his team to recognize how to work for the results they want.
I really hope we are the ones who puts him in the body bag.
Just in time for the season to start I finished up my latest Lego project, a Michigan football helmet. Roughly the same size as a standard helmet but as you'd expect horrifyingly unconfortable to wear.
Also including a picture of the football that I buit last winter. It's hollow and slightly larger than a game ball but fortunately fits in a nice display case on my desk. Each model is about 1,400 pieces. Learned a lot from making the football that made designing the helmet much easier.
Since a few people have asked here are the Lego Digital Designer files for the helmet and football. Word of caution that the helmet was designed much more efficiently than the football as you'll quickly see.
Lets see what these talking heads have to say..........
In an attempt to help pass the time until Sept. 3, ESPN continues to generate "content" to keep the fans of college football occupied. Here's their poll on the best uniforms in the B10. Without question it's the Maize & Blue (currently leading). The only problem I have with the poll is that it should be for the entire NCAA football ranks... and once again the Maize & Blue would win imho. Thoughts?
