Reading stories his week about Dwight Clark, Gayle Sayers and now Mike Adamle are just so sad. For those who don't remember Adamle was a terrific player for Northwestern and a darn good pro. The guy was extremely smart, funny and good looking which led to a career in broadcasting after football. This article on Mike really touched me and there are some great stories here. Prayers to Mike and his family and everyone suffering from dimentia and CTE.
Now that basketball season is over, spring ball is starting, and Michigan's 2018 recruiting glass is getting a little clearer. Several young men have picked up some significant crystal ball action in the last week. They are:
Jalen Mayfield: A 6'5, 255 pound 3* Offensive Tackle from Grand Rapids. Currently committed to Minnesota, but was just offered by Michigan on Friday, and is considered likely to flip his commitment.
Sammy Faustin: A 6'2, 170 pound Unranked safety from Naples, FL. His primary recruiter is Don Brown. Prior to his Michigan offer, his best offers were FIU, Arizona, and Iowa State.
Ryan Hayes: 6'7, 250 pound 4* Offensive Tackle from Traverse City. Seems to be favoring Notre Dame, but is on campus today.
Good read I found today. There is also supposed to be a follow up piece in the near future.

I'm sure many on the board expect great things from DPJ, but it's nice to hear his teammates are already being impressed by him and his play-making skills.
Michigan has had some good receivers the last decade, but this Wilton Speight quote is quite encouraging: "Just the catch radius he had. If the ball is way out here; there was one that was going way out of bounds and he just plucked it. Some guys that were standing out of bounds just looked at each other after that one."
In other news, Coach Harbaugh stood by his support of Legal Services Corp and the work they do with indigent clients. I know we try to avoid anything that might even seem political on this site, but I really liked Coach's response to whether he should have avoided this topic:
“As I’ve told you before, this is a bipartisan issue. It’s an American issue and I’m allowed to be an American.”
