It is mostly coachspeak but hey, it is football content!
The sole survivor of the #10 4-man jam.
Whoever got to see playing time got to keep their number. Maybe Bush has locked down a starting spot?
- Josh Uche from #10 to #35
- Nate Johnson from #10 to #25
- Zach Gentry from #10 to #83
- Devin Gil from #9 to #36
- Quinn Nordin from #15 to #3
Many of us are getting unrestrained tingling, shakes and inability to sleep. Saturday is almost here and Wolverine fans everywhere are going batshit crazy with anticipation.
Let's unleash our inner homers and climb on the hype train. I have a first class seat and believe Team 137 is very special. Who can beat us? Who can play 4 quarters with iron men who have been in an MMA cagefight for weeks fighting for a job on this team? What other college teams look like an NFL franchise when they take the field? Who else has Harbaugh?
Who's Got It Better Than Us?
NFL.com put out a list ranking the top 150 college players in the country. It is annoying because you have to click on 9 different tabs to go through the list. (Click bait). Hence, no link. But here are the Michigan guys on the list:
- 13. Jabrill Peppers
- 41. Jourdan Lewis
- 50. Jehu Chesson
- 73. Jake Butt
- 86. Chris Wormley
- 139. Maurice Hurst
I think there are several more Michigan players who could have been there. Glasgow and Darboh come to mind, and there are more than that. Still, all in all, this is the most guys from Michigan that highly ranked for a long time.
SIAP if this was posted in the Cal-Hawaii thread, but I just heard this discussion on the Dan Patrick Show. And forgive me if this was mentioned on the broadcast, but I didn't hear it. To save money, ESPN didn't send their announcers to Sydney. They were back in Bristol watching the game on TV like the rest of us.
Evidently this happens more than I realized, especially with low-level college basketball games. Still, I feel a little cheated knowing they weren't there soaking it all in.
I'm an early bird. There's only 7 days of 365 that I can be in the stadium for a Football Saturday.
We usually hit the road at 6:30. Arrive at dark leave at dark.
I go inside the stadium at as soon as the gates open, for every game. Stay until the MMB postgame show ends.
Our lot (first on right on Potter off Main) is cleared by the time we leave and it's always dark.
