I squeezed in a couple games last night of NCAA 11 on the 360 (sorry I didn't reply to a couple of messages you guys sent) and in almost all of my games, either Denard or Tate were injured for the game within the first quarter.
I was barely running any options and made sure to slide or run out of bounds whenever I could, but like clockwork, Tate/'Nard would always go down.
In addition to the QB's, I've noticed a ton of injuries in general. Like 4-5 per team each game. I just figured they were trying to show of their new Erin Andrews injury report feature.
Has it been the same for you guys?
P.S. Gamertag is "othernel" for anyone who wants to play sometime.
Adam Rittenberg at ESPN has a post up about potential trap games for Big Ten teams this year. He makes brief mention of the UM vs Indiana game in Bloomington this year. Revenge will definitely be on their minds. This got me thinking, aside from the obvious one staring everyone in the face at the beginning of the season against UConn, what do you all think could be potential trap games for Michigan this year. Or, because of our horrendous record the previous two years, are there any true trap games for us? Or will UM be considered the trapper rather than the trapped this year?
A few more details on the Charles Woodson housefire rescue. This includes the classic quote, "The 1997 Charles Woodson highlight tape saved our lives." Indeed, sir. Indeed.
First off. Happy retirement LC and hope to see you at Radrick Farms soon.
All this LC talk got me to think more about him. I'm a lifelong Michigan fan, have 2 degrees from Mich and a season ticket holder. Most of my adult fandom has been under the LC tenure. What is certain to everyone is that he is a man of integrity. What is not certain to everyone was his coaching abilities. Some say he was a great coach. Some say he was an average coach. Clearly, people can't seem to agree on his on-the-field coaching abilities. But that is neither here nor there.
What I'm curious about is how LC would be viewed now if he had not won that '97 NC. I haven't quite formed an opinion on this yet. Before doing so, I wanted to wiegh in on what the board thinks. Thoughts?
While running an errand for the boss, I was walking by the magazine aisle in the local Family Fare grocery store and saw none other than the maple press Hail To the Victors. Although I didnt have my wallet on me, i did pick it up and it was a good size magazine on nice paperstock. Anyone hesitant about getting it SHOULDNT think twice.
I noticed while flipping through pictures this morning of the stadium that they have finally found a place to display our NC's. I thought it was pretty awesome considering how many we have and how many other teams display them with pride. To my knowledge we never had any place where banners, plaques or whatnot were displayed showing them.
