According to ESPN, suspended players Jordan Hall, Corey Brown, and Travis Howard won't play tomorrow vs Toledo. Although the chance of an upset is still very small, this doesn't hurt.
If I remember correctly, these players had been reinstated, so being re-suspended is a little troubling for OSU.
And this line from the article is also interesting.
"The NCAA also said Friday that facts submitted by the university about the violation raise further questions that must be answered before the players can be reinstated."
Has there been a media blackout on Cam's status, or have I just missed the update? Last I heard, he needed to operate at high-speed through practice on Wed to be a viable component on Saturday's D... so, has anyone heard whether he was high speed on Wed?
I noticed he is listed as a starter in the program, release #2 of the program no less. That's as much as I've got...
Does anyone know if we will put both bands on the field in temporary bleachers in an attempt to pack as many people as possible in the stadium? I recall several people stating we could top the 115,000 mark, so is that still viable by virtue of confirming there are temporary bleacher seats on the field?
Purdue is playing at Rice tomorrow, so I wandered over to Rice's athletics website. Before you enter the site, there's a splash screen ad for their home games and it includes a huge picture of Sam running the ball.
I took a look at last week's box score against Texas and McGuffie only had one carry for four yards. Meanwhile, they had 5 other running backs with more carries than him. I figured he'd be a central part of their running game this year, but I guess not. Do any MGoBloggers in the Houston area follow Rice and know how he's doing?
I have a Domer co-worker in the office that keeps saying U of M fans are classless due to a U of M fan pouring beer over his then 17-year old brothers head during the 1989 game. I know they don't allow alcohol at the stadium now, but did they back in 1989? I suspect security was lax at that time compared to today, and it could have been smuggled in. However, this guy is pretty much stating it was accepted and allowed. I wasn't in Ann Arbor then and I have no idea. Part of me wants to believe him, but the other part realizes he is a Domer.
Thanks! Go Blue!
I will be at Disney on ice from 11:30am - 2:30pm ct. (before anyone asks, yes, I have two young daughters aged 5 and 2).
Although I will miss the early games, at least this will prohibit me from drinking before 3pm.
Last year's Penn State game taught me that nervous-drinking from 11am - 7pm will cause me to not remember the 4th quarter when I wake up the next morning (which was a good thing with last year's Penn State game).
What are your plans for tomorrow to attempt to fill the void of time before 8pm?
