at least something good happened this week
As we all know, there is not just a correlation but a proven and undisputable cause and effect between the clothes and rutuals of a true Meeeechigan fan and how the team plays.
So, as I left the UMass game, I was bothered by what I had done to make the game so close. I went over a mental checklist:
- Wearing MGoBlog's "Why There's No Mascot in Ann Arbor T-shirt
- M magnets and flags on the car
- Played MMB's "Fire Up It's Saturday" CD on the 4 hour drive to AA
- Wearing M hat with the stadium redidication pin
- Tailgated before the game
I was confused until I reached into the cooler for a liquid brain lubricant after the game. Oh shit! No alcohol before the game -- how could I have been so stupid? The first 2 games were at 3:30 so, naturally, we had a couple of drinks during the tailgate. But, with the early game and a 9:30 start to the tailgate, I had shirked my duties.
It will not happen again this week. I can not let the team down.
C'mon guys, fess up, what mojo did you skip last Saturday?
Where might I be able to find an online stream of the UM vs. BGSU and the UM vs. IU games? I am on vacation in Slovenia, have internet access (who knew) and am in dire need of some Michigan football today. Can someone please help me out?
Is it just me or does the Michigan Drum Major (David Hines Jr.) bare a stricking resemblance to Donovan Warren?
Just saw him on BTN's Firday Night Tailgate, and did a double take.
Hilarious video of Roundtree and Shaw on a segment of BTN's Friday Tailgate. I never knew about Roy's hidden talent, it is definitely a must-see. Check it out:
The players on this team are really starting to grow on me. They all seem like great guys and are enjoying themselves alot more than previous seasons.
If somebody can embed this that would be appreciated.
Disclaimer: I did search the site, and did not find this in previous posts.
I am still a little confused on the differences between Ann Arbor Golf and Outing Club and the UofM golf course in regards to gameday parking. I understand that the AAGOC is $40 and the UofM course is $30, is that accurate? Also, can the UofM golf course be accessed at any points other than State St? Thanks for the help.
The esteemed Bruce Madej tweeted this earlier tonight, something they had been working on on MGoBlue, and it's pretty awesome. A five minute retrospective video of the Rededication Game, with a number of different angles, very high quality stuff. I'll share the link because the whole page is very top drawer:
I think Michigan's Athletic Department (and OldHat) has really stepped up its new media game lately and this is just one more example of it. Well done.
