This might be reactionary (and yeah, I get the skewed logic in creating a thread on this topic), but can we stop with all of the Tate topics? I am tired of people constantly posting about how he "quit" on this team, how he sucked in the offseason and "good riddance" if he leaves. This is a 19-year-old kid who bled for this team all last year, played through injuries, led them back to respectability, and who was very publicly shown up when Gardner was inserted for Robinson.
I have no idea what is going on in the minds of the coaches and players, but I am fairly certain that everyone on this board's idea of those thoughts are at least partially wrong. And right now, I just want to enjoy a win and get ready for ND.
If you want vent about Tate, do it here. But a whole board filled with questions about Tate leaving doesn't help anybody.
Was there any report on the extent of Carvin Johnson's injury? I didn't hear anything, but hope he's okay.
should have just had his team take a knee at the end there instead of calling multiple timeouts and taking shots at the endzone. IMO, kind of classless. What's to be gained?
Roy Roundtree ended up with -1 yards today. It didn't seem like they threw it his way often. I thought he was ready to break out.
but whatever, we are 1-0!!!
Looks like Gibbons could have used some more practice with wind. Why not let him kick there to try and build confidence?
I'm probably for trying to kill clock, but FG kicking definitely appears to be a problem area.
And damn you Brian for asking just how bad it could be!
I know... Denard Robinson is amazing... but don't forget how good Tate really is. Seeing him on the bench, especially in the 4th quarter, was gut wrenching. It really made me sad that the guy who gave us hope and kept us going last year now seemed to be forgotten this year. I was really disappointed to see Rich Rod not playing Forcier in the 4th quarter whena win was a forgone conclusion.
