Rogers is really playing well.
I hope this was not posted earlier.
This week I've completely redrawn the top of Notre Dame's Hesburgh Library mosaic to make Touchdown Jesus signal "no good" (or incomplete). The stone textures and colors were all recreated using a reference photo of the original and have been enhanced for use on desktops, iPads and mobile phones.
The image below is a preview only. You can get this week's high resolution wallpaper at The Art. The Art. The Art!.
I am designing a new Michigan Football 2010 schedule wallpaper every Monday this season. I'm focusing the content of each wallpaper on Michigan's opponent and making widescreen, 4:3, iPad and mobile versions every week.
Why? Because I'm a little obsessed with Michigan football and a little obsessed with design and very obsessed with Michigan football-related design. Also, I wanted to always have the schedule handy. I decided to make a new wallpaper every week so that I wouldn't get sick of the same picture and am taking the "make fun of opponent mascot, history & tradition" approach because it is fun to make fun of opponents. I am making these public because I know of at least one person (other than my wife) who likes the idea. Feel free to pass on the link if you think anyone besides me, my friend and my wife will like this.
All of the 2010 Schedule Wallpapers
Holy MGoBlasphemy! This nugget from his livechat on ESPN.com.
Mo (Canada): They took back Reggie's Heisman, can they take back Charles Woodson's and give it to Peyton?
Ivan Maisel (2:38 PM): I'm with you on that one. That, to me, was the greatest Heisman injustice of the last 25 years. In second would be Tommie Frazier losing to Eddie George in '95.
So I have ventured out of my MGoBlog bubble into the internet masses to laugh at how people are responding to Michigan's success. Before the season, it was hard to get by without hearing the MSM rant about RR's job security, his lack of fit, and how he just isn't getting the right players for Michigan. For the last two weeks, the MSM has done what they do best, and totally switched their position on him, talking about how this is what his system is supposed to look like with his players. They are suddenly acting like they knew all along that he could coach, and this was going to happen. Again, par for the course.
Then there are the haters gonna hate crowd, who, before the season began, told us UConn was a quality team with a lot of experience coming back that we couldn't handle, and that ND was obviously to good with their passing and genious coach (our's obviously can't coach) before the season. We would lose these games because our secondary sucked, and we didn't even have a QB. I mean obviously, a team with two (three) QB's means we have none. Anyone who attended the spring game and made the tried to reason with them that we don't have two QB's cause they are bad, we have two QB's cause the others are good were easily laughed off as homers.
Two weeks later, and the haters do what they do best, and tell us UConn was no good, and ND obviously isn't either, and we have to wait some more to see if they really are that good, which is pretty standard for opposing fans arguments to our success. The funniest part, to me, is the response to DR's success. Before the season- "You have no QB" now- "QB is all we have". This, despite the fact that there is ample evidence of the improved O-line play, the improved downfeild blocking, route running, and catching, and the monster blocking coming out of the backfield.
I know there's no use in reasoning with these folks. I don't bother to set up ESPN or Detroit News accounts to bring reason. I don't call into the radio shows expecting that they allow me to get on air. So I sit back and laugh, and come back home here to my bubble. As has been posted before... Haters gonna Hate
