Full report will be sent to Ace, but here is are some quick hits from tonights game.
La Costa Canyon wins 13-6 in a cold, sloppy game in southern California. Westview came into the game a double digit underdog, but led going into the 4th quarter after a 75yard TD catch by Taylor McNamara. A quick slant that he proceeded to break some tackles and dive in from the 3yards out to complete the play for a TD. La Costa Canyon powered their way down the field behind their strong offensive line and often found large holes going left behind Erik Magnusson. After taking the lead 13-6 with 5 minutes left, Magnusson had a huge 3rd down tackle when Westview was trying to respond on the next drive. Statistcally I'd guess La Costa out gained Westview by over 200 yards, but the cold conditions and the wet field led to some sloppy play and stalled out drives for LCC in the red zone.
I'll pass the stats and more impressions to Ace for his weekly roundup.
Go Blue! Beat Ohio!!
Here we are, on the eve of the game. And while we hate Ohio (State) with every fiber of our beings, that does not change the fact that many of us have misguided friends or loved ones who cheer for the Buckeyes. Obviously, dealing with these people will be easier this holiday season after a victory, but you will still have to see them. So with only 30 shopping days left until Christmas, I have setup an Etsy account to peddle cheaply made crap that you can give to your cousin's dick husband instead of the usual forties of Camo or Skoal variety packs.
As always with Etsy, each product is handmade with found materials (from in my neighbors' garbage), so quantities are limited and are priced accordingly.
Jim Tressel Angel Tree Topper
Bask in the glow of a tragic hero. Wonder at his pureness as he gazes down upon his Christmas kingdom.
Two AA batteries not included.
Terrelle Pryor Doily Angel
This is a charming small angel, about twelve inches across, that attaches nicely to a window with a small suction cup hook. It's slimness is convenient because it does not interfere with closing blinds or curtains. Light enough to be hung on a mirror for an unexpected seasonal touch. At first glance, it appears to be a large intricate doily cut from paper. That is the first impression when hung on a window and viewing it from outside. Folding the paper angel's wings forward gives a feeling of motion. This would make a great seasonal decoration for any window. Please contact me if you need a quantity.
Small suction cup not included.

I have been perusing the Internet for a great picture of UM dominating ohio to set as my Facebook profile picture. I was wondering what pictures the MGOBLOG community have at their disposal or your favorite picture which best encapsulates tomorrows game.
This could mean that they come out flat and fold easily or it could mean they come out strong since it's the only thing they have to play for now that the B1G title is out of reach. I have a feeling that even if they come out strong they'll fold quickly once they get punched hard in the face. I also wouldn't be surpised if our guys are too amped up and are slow to get the steamroller going.
Thanks to clouds moving in overnight Friday, they act like a blanket keeping us a bit warmer for the early morning tailgaters! If you're out at 6am, don't expect to see too many stars with the sky still under a good amount of cloud cover. It'll be 47 degrees, but grab the extra jacket as the wind makes it feel like 42. Southerly winds are already at 10mph (leaves blow about, you feel the wind in your hair/on your skin). They'll pick up to 15mph by 9am (small twigs move) with the temp rising to 50 degrees.
High noon brings the temperature up to 54 degrees, and the wind up as well. Out of the SSW, you'll feel that steady 17mph breeze (small trees sway), and the gusts up to 25mph as well (you'll hear the wind "whistling"). Mostly cloudy skies for the kickoff.
Mostly cloudy skies for halftime, but you'll notice the cloud cover continually increasing as the game goes on. The temp goes up a couple degrees to 56, and the wind stays just as high as at kickoff.
We'll hit the high for the day of 58 around the end of the game with overcast skies. Chances for a light shower come around late afternoon, and expect the main rain event to begin while you're out celebrating the win- around 1am- so you'll end up running through some rain leaving when the bar closes! The wind gusts die down a bit to 20mph at dinner-time, and they disappear by midnight, with the steady breeze calming down to 15mph, staying out of the south. Temperatures drop to 53 by 8pm, then don't go below 50 degrees until 8am Sunday when the cold front moves through.Hail to the Victors!
