"Rodrick Williams Jr.'s 10-month old, 2-foot-long savannah monitor named "Kill" gets the RB some strange looks when they go for walks together."
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State athletics officials said on Monday night that they would not comment on a report that coach Jim Tressel knew that several Ohio State football players were selling memorabilia in April 2010, more than eight months before the university claimed it learned about the issue.
The report followed a two-month Yahoo! Sports investigation that looked into what Tressel knew about some of his players selling memorabilia for money and discounted tattoos.
Good thing he still has that whole 'confidential federal information' thing going for him.
I was just watching UMD-Union hockey on ESPNU and I swore I saw a little blurb about MSU football suspending immedately while the university investigated a football boosters group. Did anyone else see this or hear anything about something like that?
edit: MSU suspends ties with boosters. big difference
First a confession. I am terrible at finding video on the internet. I can find most other things easily, but video is my white whale (other than porn of course, but anyone that has spent more than 30 seconds on the internet can tell you that's no great feat).
So, I am asking for the help of the MGo community, particularly people like Boyzndapahokee who are excellent at finding and posting video. I am looking for full game video (not highlights of the OSU and Miss St game from this year, as well as any video (again, full game, not highlight tapes) of an Al Borges coached offense (SDSU, Auburn when he was there, etc. Preferably SDSU) I have of course already looked at the four videos (three SDSU, one Auburn) posted by Boyz on the board.
This is for a comparison project I'm working on based around Denard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Im sorry. My computers blowing up as we speak. I cant change this. I hate my computer right now. HATE!!!!!! ALMOST AS MUCH AS I HATE ANYTHING THATS NOT MICHIGAN FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!
For those of you posting in the never ending Spring Battle of MANBALL vs Evil I would like to point out 1 little tiny thing.
Has anybody actually looked at SDS offense last year?
Go on Youtube and check out their highlights or look at the video in Magnus's post.
Magnus points out that 1/3 of the plays are run from the Power G series that almost every team in the country runs(yes even Mich ran it last year as well), but what he doesn't point out is that SDS ran about half their sets from a spread look. They run some zone blocking. They ran some ace sets that we ran a lot when we Tate was under center in 09. They did this with a qb that's running ability looked a little Sheridan esque(shifty but wasn't going anywhere). This should not be that big of a transition.
The bottom line is they don't look that much different than we did last year, they just ran more out of a 3WR look in the I formation than we did. It's not a stretch for them to install the exact same offense at Michigan and just call more Shotgun sets and let Denard run a little.
So before you post again just watch the videos. It should alleviate most of your concerns. Just don't get down because none of their plays worked against TCU. They were really good........oh wait for an offense to be good it has to score a bunch of points against defenses that are better than them. Scratch that we're doomed.
Most of us on this board would be more than thrilled to add either of these QB's in this recruiting class. Given the choice however, which would you rather have? Both seem to fit that mold of big strong armed kids, that are the quintessential Michigan QB recruit.
Disclaimer: I'm well aware that our chances of obtaining Gunner Kiel's services are slim.
