Rodriguez said he expects to see Kenny Demens, J.B. Fitzgerald and Mark Moundros in the mix a bit more against the Hawkeyes.

Because it's high time we finally got around to stealing their hot Korean fangirls!
RT @mc_espn: UNC commit Marquise Williams reports Mich AD David Brandon told recruits Saturday Rich Rod would be in Ann Arbor "a long time."
Just saw this from Mark Snyder's twitter account. I hope this is true.
Sorry if this topic is some thread not specifically titled with this subject.
When I read Spath's mailbag on rivals http://michigan.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1138681 (sorry it is behind the paywall), I noticed a quote from an insider of his saying Demens is a liability in pass coverage so he only plays goal line defense.
First, I am not sure if that is true or who the insider is. However, I am also not sure Spath would just throw some crap against the wall for the hell of it. Second, what in the name of Sally Jesse Raphael is going on here? If that is remotely true, that is most asinine thing I have ever heard of. Roh is a liability in the passing game, but I wouldn't bench him. I would play him where he is supposed to play, on the line. I must have also missed all those pass breakups and picks from the MLB position to value the contribution there. Maybe opponents just stay away from passing in that part of the field since it is "shut down". WTF?
I would welcome any clarity on the above note from Spath.
Maybe I'm stretching a bit because I desperately want some hope after how crappy this week has been (I work in Lansing... we have a lot of Sparty's at the office), but I think we can bounce back and knock back 3-5 more wins to salvage this season. Back in 2008, Florida lost at home to Ole Miss. They made mistake after mistake and lost to a team that they should have mopped the floor with. Afterwards, Tebow had an emotional speech, shouldered the blame completely and lit a fire under their collective @$$es. The next week they came out with a vengeance and manhandled Arkansas.
It isn't getting nearly the same hype as Tebow's speech did (due to Tebow's being during a press-conference for starters) but I'm wondering if Denard's post-game speech in the locker room will have a similar effect. Obviously I'm not saying this year's Michigan squad is on par with the '08 Gators, but the parallels are definitely there. I think this team is going to come out on a mission this Saturday, a mission to show that last Saturday's offensive performance was a fluke. I'm seeing Denard running and throwing for 5 total TDs, Michigan's defense building on the improvements that we saw against MSU (they were there if you look closely enough) and beating Iowa 38-28.
I just got done cutting the film for 2012 QB Demitrious Davis (5'10", 175 lbs) from Austintown Fitch. He will be at the Iowa game this weekend with his twin brother Chris (#22 in the film), RB Will Mahone, and S Luc Haupt. The Davis' father loves Michigan, and they do too. They will be giving some game film to the coaches this weekend.
The film is for the first 5 games of this season. I'll have Chris' done probably next week.
