this week in unintentionally grim-sounding recruiting headlines
for those who missed or couldn't watch it, could somebody post the episode??
You'll remember him as a highly-touted UM tight end target. It seemed like there was a good chance at him for a while, but it didn't work out. Looks like a good thing now.
I'm usually not one to post new topics, but I didn't see this anywhere else on here, and I felt it was relevant.
MSU Offensive lineman Arthur Ray Jr. was cleared to practice again after being diagnosed with leg cancer four years ago. All school affiliations aside this is a great story, and I'm very happy for the kid.
Here's a second Link to a piece Rittenberg did on him a while back.
BTN is currently replaying the 2007 Michigan vs Michigan State game.
According to the Columbus Dispatch, the 2014 Ohio State nonconference schedule "includes the following games: Aug.30 vs. Navy in Baltimore, at home against Cincinnati on Sept.6, at home against Kent State on Sept.13 and at home against Virginia Tech on Sept.20."
I know there are a couple of open games on Michigan's schedule, but I hope the Alabama neutral-site game in 2012 sets the trend for '13 and '14.
Ohio State's group of Navy at neutral site (in Baltimore, closer to Navy's home in Annapolis), Cincinnati, Kent State and Virginia Tech is a decent group.
In 2013 I'd like to see (in addition to Notre Dame and at UConn), one MAC team or similar and one more decent team (a middle- or low-end bowl team, preferably), both at home.
In 2014 Michigan still has three open games along with an away game at ND. Let's hope we play at least one more strong team (at home, as most of the good games are on the road) and a medium-strength team along with the MAC patsy, also at home, of course.
just enough to wet my beek. just the tip as some would say.
