Congrats to Coach Carr and the Glick family. Both have done so much for the UofM community.

Cass Tech DB Terry Richardson is supposed to be in Ann Arbor today. There was talk that he would make his decision soon, then he backed off that and said he might wait. I have a feeling that he might just be playing around with everyone to throw people off his scent.
We'll see what happens though, he might end up waiting. I can't really tell what's serious and what's not.
Brian's post about Hoke got me to thinking about the last few years and while it has not been great for Brian as a fan it has got to be great for business. Consider the previous 10 years for Michigan football before Brian started the blog(95-04).
We had 1 coach the whole time, no real coaching controversy, we would have had the NC coverage which would have been nice. Other than that it was pretty much 8-11 wins, countless grinding blah wins over overmatched foes, a few times we got upset in Big Ten play. We owned MSU and PSU. Some great wins over OSU early and some tough losses late. We had a few incidents like Kelly Baraka getting kicked out and Ty Law saying he was from Alliquipa, but for the most part the machine moved on.
Now start in 05.
05-Huge disappointing injury fest with several unreal wins.
06- Magical year crushed by Bo's death and loss to OSU
07- The Horror, Oregon debacle, Fan outrage, ND redemption, Lloyd retires, Upset Tebow, Coaching Search Debacle, Hire RR.
08- One of the worst seasons ever spawns endless stats and research to help bring sanity to the situation.
09- The Free Press Jihad generates daily drama and fuels 24/7 coaching speculation.
10- Denard, Coaching speculation, RR Fired, The Process, Actual Wins, Hoke
If when Brian started this blog he predicted 3 coaches, 2 bowlless seasons, an NCAA investigation and Rawk music in Michigan Stadium he may have never got a web hit again.
It's been a crazy 6 years, hopefully we can continue the craziness with just great seasons going forward.
Just stumbled across these on ESPN and thought some might find it interesting. According to fan polls on ESPN, where we are included in none of the following categories: we are not an option to win the Big Ten, will not be competing in a "can't miss game," but will not be the most disappoint team, and don't have a chance of being a "surprise team."
Did ESPN forget we exist, or just have incredibly low expectations for us coming into this year? I know it dosn't mean anything, but I found it interesting we did not even get a mention, aside from coaches on the hot seat, which, really guys? Year one and Hoke is already considered on the hot seat?
Edit: Thanks for pointing it out, apparently we are included in the "Games to watch" poll. Apparently overlooked it in my "Haven't slept in 22 hours and in the middle of a 17 hour shift at work" haze
Here's the story, of a man named Brady. Who was coaching a program of his own. It needed talent in its ranks, on the defense, to fix what GERG had blown.
Heres the story, of a man named Matty! Who was in the league now all alone. He was the best recruiter on the planet, or so it had been shown.
And the one day our new coach called up Matty, and they knew that it was much more than a hunch, that these two must somehow form a winner, and thats the way that we became the big ten champs.
The Big Ten Champs.
The Big Ten Champs.
Thats the way we became The Big Ten Champs!
