"Northwestern fans can be both heartened and disheartened by the loss to Minnesota just like how nineteenth-century resurrectionists were heartened when they pried a heart from a freshly-buried corpse and then disheartened it when they sold it to a disreputable anatomist."
Lance Leipold. Head Coach of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks, which have been the dominant force in D-III since 2005 winning multiple national titles. Even more impressive than Mount Union. Say what you will about level of competition, but any coach making this kind of history is impressive: 0.943 (100W - 6L) winning percentage, five national championships in seven years and the fastest coach to 100 wins in history. A quick Google search yielded minimal results of what system they run. Landing him as coach may be a long shot. He does coach for his Alma mater...

Bye week for us...should be a FSU/ND scandal fest.
TMZ College Gameday Open Thread is what it should be. Yet, I'll still watch.
The reason I went to UM was Bob Ufer, not the great Engineering School. I still get goose bumps listening to him. I cried at the Big House when he led the band from the press box to play "the Victors" knowing he was very ill (he died 11 days later).
WTKA will rebroadcast Ufer's broadcast of the 1979 revenge win over MSU, who the previous year ruined my Homecoming with Eddie Smith and Kirk Gibson's heroics. They will even replay the old commercials from 1979!
God Bless His Cotton pickin' Maize and Blue Soul!
