At press time, Harbaugh had sent Michigan’s athletic department an envelope containing a heavily annotated seating chart, a list of the 63,000 seat views he had found unsatisfactory, and a glowing 70-page report on section 25, row 12, seat 9, which he claimed is “exactly what the great sport of football is all about.”
Fitzgerald Toussaint thinks this is the most accurate toy ever for starting your children early on a promising career path.
In 2010, Michigan finished the season ranked 110th in total Defense giving up 450.8 yards per game. (includes the bowl game).
In 2011, Michigan ranks 16th in Total Defense giving up 317.6 yards per game. That's an improvement of 94 spots and 133.2 yards per gamer less this year than last with virtually the same players.
Greg Mattison deserves Asst. Coach of the Year and Brady Hoke deserves Coach of the Year, it's no-brainer.
THought this was interesting.
Stats are from cfbstats.com
I was eating at Pizza House last night with my family when I noticed three athletic guys sitting at a table in the corner, but none of them looked familiar.
The highlights of the game came on and someone started to sing The Victors but it didn't take hold. Then someone else started singing, "It's Great To Be A Michigan Wolverine." The whole room enthusiastically started to sing.
I looked over at the table of athletic guys. One of them was eating pizza, hunkered down, but he was pumping his fist in the air to the singing. Soon after, they left.
Fast forward to two minutes ago. I just turned on The Game on BTN and a picture of Kenny Demens flashed on the screen. It was Kenny Demens who pumped his fist and ate pizza as the room serenaded him. I didn't see anyone acknowledge him - maybe , like me, no one knew it was him. But now that I know it was him, what a great impromptu moment. I hope he enjoyed it.
This is probably a lame excuse to start a thread (OK, "definitely" not "probably"), but I'm still having that postgame warm and fuzzy feeling and hoping to keep it going by re-watching The Game on BTN right now, preferably virtually with other MGoBlog brethren with the same warm fuzzies.
Who's with me?!?!
EDIT: Is the guide lying again? Unfortunately I'm getting Mike Hall talking about basketball instead. Sigh BTN. Neg away, errbody.
EDIT2: As noted, it's on now, at least in Ann Arbor.
(didn't see a thread, or it already got buried)
Ryan Mundy just got an interception. Good to see he's still playing in the NFL.
We need TWO out of these FIVE things to happen to make the top 14 (although if Georgia wins, we might not even get the at-large):
1) Pokes beat up on Sooners. By a lot preferably.
2) Les Miles takes care of business and helps out his alma mater.
3) Little Bro hits puberty for a day and wins (or loses by a LOT, like 35 a lot).
4) Boise has one of the biggest upsets ever and loses to New Mexico. Ain't gonna happen.
5) K St loses to ISU...also unlikely, but who knows.
At this point, I don't think we can count on losses by LSU, Houston, Okie St, Oregon, or Va Tech to put them below us.
[Edit: added K St...sorry I forgot they were "good"]
