this week in unintentionally grim-sounding recruiting headlines
Edit: With Lloyd Brady's cousin, Drunk Mitch, in the background.
I am just glad we won, because I would have had an aneurism from that BS call at the end of the game.
I don't know HOW any ref in his right mind could reverse the call on the field on that play. They had two camera angles available for review and NEITHER of the cameras were placed exactly on th goal line. The camera from Fitz' backside was slightly inside the goal line which made it appear like Fitz was short, but the opposite angle camera was slightly short of the goal line and it made Fitz look like he was in.
There is no WAY anyone could be positive that he was in or not. You know it was not conclusive when even a Ohio homer like Spielman is saying you can't overturn that call.
If you ask me, that ref had some money riding on the game.
If Braxton hit that receiver right after that play, we would be in a world of hurt right now, because of the refs.
I just don't get it, how can anyone justify reversing that call?
so, just in case you were wondering, it has now been 4,754 days since an amateur Ohio team beat Michigan on a football field.
[note: the title is intentionally vague. i don't know how many people's hearts can handle the excitement of that number without a little front-loaded annoyance to moderate the awesomeness.]
Although it has not led to any commits at the moment, the Ohio game has done wonders for recruiting. Here are a few reactions via twitter (thanks to scoutexile for the first few twitter updates):

"Offered by Michigan and good relationship with there coaches are making me lean towards Michigan with the win today for the 1st time ever!"

Shaq Wiggins when asked if he committed
"lol naw not yet was close though but yea had a good time."
Steve Wiltfong of 247 also tweeted
"Top 247 ATH Ben Gedeon has a leader following his visit to Ann Arbor for the Michigan-Ohio State game."
(It links to a paywalled thread on Wolverine 247, but you can figure out which team it is)
I don't know which is funnier, what Davis said or the buckeye reaction...
One More! Make fun of something called "the cook" a fun dance which apparently one our players do... and make fun of our coaches weight... stay classy buckeyes
I started thinking after this game, just how good Denard can be in this offense. He has showed over the past two weeks that he is capable of making all of the throws, and playing games without many bad reads (I dont remember any today). Now throw in an offseason with Borges... and we could have an all B1G QB on our hands. Not all B1G back, all B1G QB. Borges has been making a lot of first year bumps that will come with his offense, and a perfect example that he uses is Cade McNown. In Borges' first year with McNown, he was last in the Pac10 in passer efficiency. In Borges' second year, he was first in the nation.
The other part of it, of course, is Denard's legs. Not only does this mean he can scramble, but it means the other team wont rush as much. His TD pass to Odoms was a perfect example; the DL was too focused on being gap sound to get any pressure, Denard had all kinds of time, and he made a perfect throw.
We have already seen throughout the year what Borges' coaching can do (compare Denard's footwork early in the year to what it was today), I can't wait to see what it will do over the offseason. Hemmingway and Odoms will be missed, but we get back Stonum (a deep threat we didn't have this year), and possibly a potential impact freshman in Diggs. With Fitz entering his RS Junior year, and much of the line coming back... could we see improvement? I don't think its a stretch to say that this team could improve in every phase next year.
