Niko Porikos grew up in an NTDP billet home. Cool story.
Eddie Lacy, Alabama's new starting running back, will miss spring practice while recovering from surgery on his turf toe. While it's only spring practice, any less practice for Lacy is fine with me. I'm obviously not wishing him harm, and he obviously still has the summer, but Lacy is another beast at running back, and less practice is almost never a good thing.
Also missing spring practice for Alabama:

I really wonder what the suspended players did to warrant suspensions. With Saban, it had to actually be something pretty bad.
Anyways, the Crimson Tide graduated their top 4 leading receivers this year and having 3 WRs missing spring practice isn't a good thing.
RDT, I expect you'll have somthing to say about the significance of this, if there even is any.
2014 OL Orlando Brown of Peachtree Ridge (Ga.), son of the ex-NFL player, says #Michigan offered today. He's 6-10, 360
I know a lot of people have been waiting awhile for these, as have I. Decent price.
Just was tooling around on the Blockhams site and noticed to the right of the page you could leave a message. To my shocking amazement I notice the top two are from team 132's own RVB, and Taylor Lewan. I think he deserves so much more credit than just a thread from me, but I wanted to say thanks for the strip and your art work it is just awesome. RVB wrote that the strip should be checked out by all U of M fans and he it home for him. If you haven't been keeping up that last few comic strips were about the flowing locks that RVB rocked all year. Anyway just thought Six Zero deserved a shout out from the MgoBloger's on here. And let everyone know that the actually football team follows his strip and are loving it.
Hey Blog, stomach virus here. I've pretty much defeated Six Zero, so he hasn't put together the brand-new and timely strip that the basketball team's proud weekend deserves.
As such, I'm callin' the shots and have decided that rather than force you all to read a canned, non-time sensitive strip in the regular Tuesday slot here at MGoBlog... The Blockhams will run the MGoBlog tie-in on THURSDAY. A strip will be published shortly on the Blockhams home page, but it will not tie into Michigan Basketball or even spring sports in any way.
In other words, look for something new and fresh in two days when I've grown sick of Six Zero's physical and mental well-being, and he can muster the strength and coherence to give you something you all desrve.
All my love,
TTB Andrew recently interviewed former Michigan wide receiver/cornerback James Rogers. He talks about his current football endeavors, switching positions, and how it felt during the first coaching change back in 2007.
