help i've been transported back in time to Jim Tressel's hiring help
He's thinking of entering the NFL in the supplemental draft. No idea why he's thinking about it right now.
EDIT: The link is dead but MGoShoe found a different link which is a similar story. Kudos to MGoShoe for providing this link. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/11/terrelle-pryor-considering-an-early-jump-from-buckeyes-to-nfl/
Does anyone know why Trevor Pryce transferred to Clemson from Michigan years ago? I seem to remember thinking he was going to be a stud at Michigan He lived in my dorm sophomore year (1994-95) and the next thing I hear he is playing for Clemson. Anyone know if there is an interesting story behind that?
(I ask because I just saw him on ESPN as an analysis and wondered what could have been . . .)
If you weren't aware, there were tweets and stories going around that Kentucky QB Zeke Pike was ejected from the 7 on 7 tournament for apparently throwing the football at the ref. That of course sparked conversations and controversy over what happened and why he did it. I thought I would give you Zeke's take on what happened.
It was really blown all out of proportion. They give you a play clock and it was 4th down, our team didn't get set and get the play off in time. They blew the play dead and called turnover on downs. I tossed the ball towards the ref who blew his whistle just giving him the ball. He cought the ball and then the other ref threw his flag and threw me out. It was pretty ridiculous but I just took it, not much I could do. I mean it wasn't worth arguing over, and then we have people tweeting and saying all this nonsense making me look bad.
It seems strange that no one else has gotten Zeke's take on this incident, but there you go. He also told me that he will be back up to Michigan quite a few times after spring recruiting, and reiterated that they will be in the top group.
So. eyes on the ground reports from Saturday have multiple people telling me the best QB Michigan has is Devin Gardner. This includes local coaches down here who went and could not wait to see Denard play, but instead left thinking MIchigan would be crazy not to start Devin. But, he went up against the second string all day and, well, I will go out on a limb and say MICH might have the worst second string D in the conference. Grain meet Salt
But, I'm never opposed to oddsmaking or gambling, therefore
Over/Under on Devin Gardner starts at QB in the 2011 season
O/U 1.5 starts
For those of us who were unable to attend, how was the clinic? Give us some info...Hoke, Mattison, Fred Jackson hyperbole, etc.
Didn't see this previously posted and it's worth a look. Haven't seen him get this emotional before.
