"It's a lot easier being a drug dealer than an AAU coach" - this guy. Tell me something I don't know. I mean, don't think but have never tried either.
There is a story on the columbus dispatch saying OSU will not be hit with failure to monitor.
"Considering the institution's rules education and monitoring efforts, the enforcement staff did not believe a failure to monitor charge was appropriate in this case," the NCAA informed Ohio State.

Ailing Aztecs. San Diego State receivers Dominique Sandifer and Jay Waddell are both out for the entire 2011 season with knee injuries, further depleting a corps already suffering from the loss of the two most productive receivers in the Mountain West to the NFL. Sandifer was only the Aztecs' fifth-leading receiver last year in the shadow of soon-to-be draft picks Vincent Brown and DeMarco Sampson, but was expected to take a much larger role this fall as the most experienced wideout on the team — as was Waddell, a redshirt freshman who came out of the spring as a likely starter. Not that I think we needed a ton of help to begin with, but it certainly doesn't hurt our chances on September 24th.
Sorry if this was posted already but I searched mulitple times and scanned the board. CBS Sports Team updated their class rankings and Blue is #1! Obviously it's still early but it's exciting nonetheless.
Number of verbal commitments: 20
In the Top 100: 5
Comment: Michigan fans are simply delighted with the success of Brady Hoke on the recruiting trail, culminating with Kyle Kalis' flip to the Wolverines. Defensively and on the offensive line, this class is outstanding. Add another premium offensive skill player, like former Ohio State commit Bri'onte Dunn, and this class would get even stronger.

The story title says it all. I don't know if this will end up being "he said/she said" but it could get very interesting. Popcorn?
Per mgouser Wettin 3's, Scout's Allen Trieu has a quick write-up on Michigan's recruiting class to date.
Nothing earth-shattering, but always enjoy Trieu's write-ups. They're positive on all the commits, but Ben Braden ("... now considered as one of the gems of the class") and Tom Strobel ("... our Scout staff thinks Tom Strobel may end up as one of the best players in this class") come up for particular praise. And the photo of Ross in M gear is worth the click.
He looks like he's been starting for 3 years. Gonna look great in that uniform, with the head cracking and fool clowning.
I've gotten a few emails and questions about some visitors coming up so I figured I'd just post it here.
New Jersey ATH Devin Fuller (6'0", 185 lbs, 4 Star) is not visiting for the BBQ. He told me he doesn't have a date set to visit Michigan yet, but he would still like to.
I'm about to run to the doctor [my wife is pregnant, hopefully finding out the sex today] but I have a text and call in to DT Ondre Pipkins (6'3", 325 lbs, 4 Star) to see if he's decided to visit for the BBQ. I'll update that when I get back.
Iowa WR Amara Darboh (6'2", 190 lbs, 4 Star) is not visiting for the BBQ either, he has a team camp. He is potentially visiting on Monday, but he said it's not 100% yet. I'll have more from him in the Weekly Update.
