this week in unintentionally grim-sounding recruiting headlines
A little history of the Spring game-
Last 10 Spring Games
2001 White 28 Blue 21
2002 White 27 Blue 17
2003 Cancelled Due to FieldTurf installation
2004 Blue 24 White 20
2005 Blue 34 White 18
2006 Blue 30 White 26
2007 White 42 Blue 41
2008 White 23 Blue 19 Invite-only held at Saline HS
2009 White 73 Blue 32
2010 Blue 49 Maize 37
2011 Blue 14 Maize 7
The Blue team leads the all-time series against Maize (formerly White) 27-26. They took the series lead back last season. Maize/White has won 3 out of the last 5, but Blue has won the past two.
The teams will be organized like last season. 1st team offense & 2nd team defense (Maize) vs 2nd team offense & 1st team defense (Blue).
My prediction: Blue 17 Maize 14. There will be one defensive touchdown.
Hope to see the receivers do well because that is a huge question mark heading into this season. Also want the DL to get some "sacks" (when you touch the QB, the play ends).
Your predictions/hope to see do well?
The roster has been released for the Victor's Classic Alumni Flag Football Game on Saturady.
Seeing a series of tweets on this from Helmholdt, TomVH and Laquon himself about his Oklahoma visit being cancelled due to tornado. There seems to be a possibility that he'll be heading to Ann Arbor for the UM spring game.
The copyright strikes on my mgovideo youtube channel have expired, so I'll be uploading there (instead of mgodisney) until I get busted again. There's also the site and twitter account in my signature and the facebook page. I don't usually post old game uploads on the board so if you're interested, those are your options.
"But we rectified the situation," Bielema said.
When asked how, Bielema recalled a chop-block penalty that went against his team -- and took a touchdown off the scoreboard -- in the second quarter. Wisconsin lost seven points but delivered a message.
