Didn't see this posted anywhere but just want to make sure people know about this.
My personal favrorite is something I had no idea about. That popular picture with all the jerseys shows a Maize jersey in the 60s which never existed. However, Michigan wore Maize jerseys. Once. The canary disaster of 1928-
vs. Navy, Baltimore Stadium, Baltimore, MD
JERSEY: Navy insisted on wearing blue, so Michigan team
wore “bright yellow jerseys with blue numbers.
The team was said to look like canaries, and the uniforms
were put away after the 6-6 tie.”

We all hope / expect Green to make some impact his freshmen year, and ESPN's Luginbill agrees:
Simply put, Green is better than what Michigan has in the backfield right now and is a perfect fit for an offense that desperately wants to get back to power football and a heavy downhill run game. In addition to fitting that profile, we expect a minimal learning curve for him in the passing game and pass protection. Michigan will be better at quarterback with Devin Gardner, and Green might become Gardner's new best friend if he can take pressure off the passing game.
*edit: Corrected the spelling of Luginbill's name. Man, my vision is getting to be awful. h/t Ron Utah
It might be a bit early to think too much about 2015 for some people, but 2014 recruiting will be done before you know it.

Lewan made Feldman's list of physical freaks he puts out each year. We don't get much info from Hoke or Wellman on this stuff so this was kind of surprising. Would Jake have made it pre injury? They say he ran a 4.8 in the 40. We'll see.
I'm still on record that a Mini Combine with the players before the Spring Game would be a great opportunity to pull some nice cash for Mott with 100yd races and such, but let's work on an entertaining game 1st.
As one of the steps to make the Pro Bowl more interesting, NBC Sports is reporting that the NFL may pay out "incentives" over the course of the Pro Bowl for performance. Plus plans to possibly make the game more "game show" like. Hopefully one of those crazy Japanese gameshows where ten tons of exotic bugs are dumped on someone.
What's odd of course is that any kind of incentive for play is basically a bounty and doubly so for defensive players if you are paying them per sack, ball strip, tackle for loss, etc. It's why I find the NFL so interesting, a complete lack of morals by the management. They go scorched earth against anyone involved in a team level bounty, but the following season they talk about installing a league supported system.
That being said, it is likely a pointless gesture, in that whatever pittance the NFL bounty is, it pales beside the contract of a veteran pro bowler and I can't see a smart player risking injury just to collect a trophy and 20k.
Plaxico Burress is launching a men’s "luxury hosiery line." Between this, Datbull 4 Life, and Andre Rison being featured on the 30 for 30 "Broke," it has been a banner year for Sparty wide receivers.
