It has officially begun.
John U. Bacon recently quoted his new book on Twitter by posting the following statement by a friend of his:
“Michigan athletics used to feel like something we shared. Now it’s something they hoard... Anything of value they put a price tag on. Anything that appeals to anyone is kept locked away, and only brought out if you pay for it... And what’s been permanently banished is any sense of generosity.”
Bacon added the following: The suits will find your fun, buy it up, and charge you for it.
All sarcasm aside, some of us will be braving the cold, a rough year, and other team-related "headaches" to cheer on The Leaders and The Best.
Who's going? Care to share where you're sitting?
Any suggestions for the newbies?
At the end of the day, this IS Michigan Stadium. I don't care who's calling the plays or who's on the field, that's a big deal if you're a sports fan.
I've put together a visitors list for the upcoming game against Ohio State. If you have any additions, subtractions, updates, etc., leave them in the comments. These lists are always fluctuating.
I'm tired of being sad, so I figured why not have a little fun leading up to The Game.
Your MGoAvatar is now the new head coach at Michigan. Congratulations!
-How would you prepare/motivate your players?
-Pregame rituals before The Game?
-How would you deal with the media?
Have FUN (seriously, no negative crap) and go crazy.
