landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.
Per the Detroit News, the Lions and James Ihedigbo have agreed to a two year deal. Ihedigbo to the Lions had previously been posted on this board, but that post was premature. After the Lions hosted Ihedigbo at the beginning of the FA period, other teams expressed interest and the deal was uncertain until Ihedigbo's pronouncement that a deal has been struck.
A couple of quick observations. First, a board member previously pointed out his last name is pronounced "He Dig Bo" so that may be reason enough for this board to support this pickup. Second, the Lions really needed a safety with recent losses at the position, so this looks like a good move.
Next on my wish list? Re-sign Shaun Hill (currently the Rams are competing for his services). The Lions currently lack much cap space, so I'm not expecting a whole lot more FA action until some veteran contracts are restructured - Suh's in particular.
The Mott Spring Football Game presented by PNC Bank will be held at 2pm on April 5th at The Big House per an MGoBlue release.
(I know the proceeds go to Mott, but jeez can we at least have the word "Michigan" in the title?)
The Victors Classic Alumni Game will be at Noon with gates opening at 11.
The game will be played at 2pm this year. Different than its usual Noon or 1pm start. After the game, at 4:30pm, Battle at The Big House III will take place--Michigan vs fairfield in Men's Lacrosse.
The spring game will be televised live by BTN and will be broadcast on 950am WWJ.
I asked Mott on twitter if they're going to do the donation incentives like they have in past years and they said they will announce what the items are in a few days.
I just hope they don't find out about Jon Runyan Jr.
