a terrible blight on our fine country
Listening to the podcast from the WTKA show this morning and on the segment 07 podcast they were talking about how "the folks in Ann Arbor and Happy Valley aren't going to like it very much".
The title of the book is Fourth and Long: The battle for the soul of college football.
Gaggity gag. My guess is that it is more whining from Bacon about money side of college athletics.
News flash: college athletics is a business. Like what he does with Michigan history and the stuff he has wrote ESPECIALLY Bo's Lasting Lessons. Seems any book of his that has "and long" in the title I need to avoid.
GRIII's brother, Gelen Robinson, committed to play football at Purdue.
The 6-foot-1, 230-pound Gelen excels on the football field, where he had 13 sacks and five forced fumbles last season for Lake Central (Ind.) High School. He also won a state wrestling title and finished second in the shot put at the state track and field finals.
Robinson -- whose brother Glenn Robinson III plays basketball at Michigan -- was also being recruited by Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri and others. But Hazell went after him hard, and he's a guy the Boilers needed to reel in given the legacy connection.
I know we have many folks from Cleveland on this board. Thought this was a funny story and remember many a Browns fan's lamenting their fandom on this site.
Oh, Browns. You even managed to get beat by the deceased.
None of our players are on the Bednarik Award watchlist. Hopefully next year we'll have a couple (Jake Ryan, Countess etc.)

He thinks OSU's best chance at a loss is from Michigan.
Says Michigan has a tough schedule which would make the smart money on under 9.5. (I think he's wrong)
And MSU, well, they have no offense, so he has no confidence.
