Peppers at 10, which seems low.
“David Harris is the most underrated player in the league,” Ryan told the New York Daily News. “It ain't close! It ain’t close! You could have a top 100... and he’s not even mentioned. And I’m like, ‘What?!’”
Normally I tune about 99.9% of what Rex says but he has a point here. In 7 NFL seasons he has 761 Tackles, 24.5 Sacks (from an ILB position) and 6 interceptions while playing in 107 out of 112 possible games. Glad to see his Michigan success has translated so well into his NFL Career.
It's about that time of year. I recently purchased the Adobe Creative Cloud and naturally decided to toy around during my spare time to make M wallpapers. I have no idea how to post images so you can check them out here:
More will follow soon enough. I'd also gladly take suggestions or requests, just keep in mind that only high-res photos make quality wallpapers (1200x1200 is generally the bare minimum) so not every player can have his own. Widescreen and standard resolutions of the first three wallpapers can be found in my Flickr account; I'll create mobile versions if enough people request them.
With the World Cup finished, NBA free agency winding down, the second half of baseball underway, and The Open looking like a one-man race, the sports calendar has finally hit a dead spot. Just six weeks from today the college football season begins in earnest, but an old staple of this time of year is missing this year.
For about the past decade, I remember counting the days until mid-July for the release of the year's new EA Sports video game about the sport we love most hear: NCAA Football. Obviously with the O'Bannon lawsuit and pay for players debate raging throughout the country, it's unclear when the series will return. I would expect some wholesale reform in college football that allows for a return of sanctioned video games someday, but for now we are stuck with last year's version. The relief of all this is that we zealots retain $60 rather than buying what's usually a highly similar product with a fresh coat of paint and new rosters. Yet, I will miss popping in the new game all the same.
What does the (for now) death of the series mean to college football and its fans this year? Some may return to past entries, but the appeal of letting EA Sports setting up mostly analagous schedules and rosters will certainly scare many away from this avenue.
Also, I hope to find some fresh roster update on the internet in the coming weeks, but this year that is exceedingly more challenging as it involves not only tracking down the correct players and inputting names, but projecting both improvements and new players. Is anyone crazy enough to do this, probably not for the whole game (yikes) but perhaps just for Michigan or even the Big Ten?
Counting down for the season to start so we can discuss real football but i need to vent for a moment and i ask to see if anybody has noticed or if its just me..First, I go to many places UM related to get different views and info..Have LOVED this place since i first took a look..The members make it great, It hasnt changed much and that is fine because it doesnt need to,It covers UM from all angles and its to me the 1st choice for UM talk.
247 keeps up with recruiting well, TTB Magnus does a good job and i appreciate that site also, Maize and Brew i have just come around to recently but i like them as well.
The thing with all i have mentioned is they keep it positive and still remain realistic with UM sports..I would recommend any of these sites for a person who enjoys UM discussion.
NOW to the place i just cant stand..I do Bleacher Report for it is a easy way to keep up with ALL things sports not just UM..I peak at OSU,MSU( both always rainbows and butterflies),Yankees,Orlando Magic (ok, i dont ever look at the Magic page) and they are always about that team and whats going on.
However if you look at the UM section it is just PURE negativity and i dont like the "Hater" thing and it gets thrown around too loose but they just hate on UM.
Let me use examples..Its once a week they make articles about Is Hoke On The Hot Seat ? (hey look they JUST wrote a new one) And they LOVE this so called QB controversey and "Michigan not recruiting as well" and tht is passed off as UM class ranking have dropped off..No shit dirtbag !! maybe its because of the small classes they have brought in to respect the numbers rule but no that is NOT mentioned..they push readers to believe its just Hoke not recruiting well...These BR writers just made an article that Funchess is not worthy of being a Biletnekoff contender...i feel the hate is real over there, please if you havnt been there dont give them the click but if you have do you feel the same ?
Sorry for the offseason post..i promise the season is close
