SS: I heard that while you got AC’s mother to sign his Letter of Intent, getting his father to sign it was a little more involved. Did you and Bo actually go into the Florida Everglades to get Carter’s father to sign his LOI?
BM: Yes, it’s true.
SS: Bo literally rolled up his pant-legs, took off his shoes and socks and walked into the Florida Everglades to get Anthony’s dad to sign his Letter of Intent?
BM: Yes. (laughs!) The old man was foaming at the mouth to get AC!
I updated Desmond's tribute video a couple days ago because a player of his magnitude can't have just 10 minutes of highlights.
Besides Howard's amazing plays, there's also Keith Jackson, Buckeye players pounding the ground in anger, Tom Coughlin yelling 'BULLSHIT! after a kickoff return. I also included a couple near misses because even his effort to get to the ball was impressive...fear not, we ended up scoring touchdowns on both drives.
It sounds like Iowa fans have had enough. Reading some of the comments section, most people are putting the blame on Barta(the AD) for keeping Ferentz.
Now, the athletic department takes on the challenge of keeping season ticket-holders coming back to Kinnick Stadium. And they do so with data from a survey of Football Bowl Subdivision schools that showed just 64 percent of Iowa's 2014 season ticket-holders who responded were likely to renew.
The cost of season tickets will remain the same as last season — $395 for the general public, $325 for faculty and staff — with some enhancements added. If fans order season tickets by March 13, they'll receive $70 to spend at Kinnick's concession stands during games and a 30 percent discount off all items purchased during one visit to Herky's Locker Room before the season starts.
Not exactly news to any of us who watched him play, but damn Funchess has some hops. Looking forward to seeing him play on Sunday.
With the 2016 recruiting cycle officially beginning recently, I compiled a list of 38 in-state prospects to watch for the upcoming class. Several already have Michigan offers, and I think a few more could come. And even if not, there are guys on this list who will end up playing against Michigan in the coming years or who might be from your old high school. Enjoy!
247 is reporting that two Michigan top target and best in-state football players for 2016 class are visiting this coming Tuesday for the MBB game (eh, must be another overtime game):
Donnie Corley (WR) and Khalid Kareem (DE)
Both are not commit-watch type of guys at this moment so no buckle-up needed.
Really miss the 6-commit-a-day fest.
