OT: If you could have Michigan play any team of your choosing in the National Championship game, which team would it be?
For me it would be USC. Watching Michigan vs USC in the Rose Bowl was always fun (except the losing part) and it would give us a chance for sweet redemption for losing all of those close games. As an unimportant bonus, our uniforms look good on a field together.
Sorry if covered in other posts, but I was wondering who has actually been to Rome, and what were your experiences?
I went last year on the third leg of my honeymoon, and stayed for 6 days. We saw all the big things, still felt rushed as it really is a lot to see/do. I had an amazing time though and would love to go back and see more than the Vatican and the touristy stuff. Seeing the pictures though brings back great memories.
Anyone else been?
Marty Smith interviewing Wilton Speight in Rome, Italy. Nothing too exciting, they talk about the trip, meeting with and teaching American football to refugees, custom Jordan brand gear and shoes (while juxtaposing that against the difficult life of the refugees), the fabulous opportunity that Michigan provides athletes with trips like this, they're going to play paintball and watch Gladiator, Harbaugh is getting baptized, then the team came over and mugged for the camera.
Pretty much all fluff, but the fact that ESPN is doing regular segments all morning promoting their Rome trip is a nice little advertisement for what the program is doing.
EDIT: Attempted to embed ESPN video. Won't let me. If anyone has a trick for embedding non YT video here, feel free to share in replies. I know as a reader, I prefer when I can just click on an embedded video in the post, so I like to provide the same convenience when possible.
