According to Adrian Wojnorowski on the twitters. Congrats to Glenn! He's got a guaranteed roster spot and contract - most 2nd round contracts aren't guaranteed, but Glenn will be in the NBA next year!
This is a Michigan Daily interview with one of my favorite Wolverines, Zack Novak, who I hadn't realized is no longer playing in the Netherlands. He's now with McKinsey -- a pretty competitive place to get into even for a former Big Ten champion. I'm glad that he seems to be doing well. I also found his comparision of the program when he arrived and now to be interesting, if not surprising:
you'll recall we really wanted jonah bolden. see, e.g., http://mgoblog.com/category/tags/jonah-bolden.
he went to UCLA. but not really because he's ineligible. http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/115129....
hope he get it worked out; glad we don't have to deal with it.
For a grad assignment I have to identify a high profile coach in athletics today, and describe one characteristic and one skill/strategy that enables the coach to be successful in leading athletes.
I'm curious as to what you all think makes Coach Beilein so great, and thought it might create some good discussion.
I personally applaud his ability to identify talent and turn unheralded prospects into draft worthy players. For the characteristic I'm leaning toward loyalty after his refusal to leave the NBA draft until all of his players were selected.
What say all of you?
