ESPN updated their On-the-Bubble list
Illinois beats Indiana 64-54, and Michigan will face them at noon ET tomorrow. I just wanted an excuse to post this:
Illinois beats Indiana 64-54. (suck it, Crean)
A great Michigan Daily piece on Horford came out yesterday. He's got a really unique mindset for a basketball play of his level, especially considering his brother and dad's successes. Definitely worth a read.
Seton Hall has been beating Villanova all afternoon and they are currently up 8 at the half. It is Villanova's first game in the Big East Conference Tournament and Seton Hall is 6-12 in conference.
Any outside chance Michigan has at grabbing a one-seed involves Villanova losing today. A longshot, but every loss counts. Seton Hall is not a good team and they have an RPI and SOS well into the 100s. Their BPI is likely Russia.
Auburn senior forward Allen Payne on Under Armour:
I can say this now... We'll struggle as long as we are under Under Armour.— Lucky Lefty (@AllenPayne2_) March 13, 2014
Someone tried to fisk me on this several weeks ago (I think it was one of the dudes from 247Sports' Michigan site), but I hope we stay far away from Under Armour in our next apparel contract negotiations. Under Armour is at a competitive disadvantage in basketball. May not matter to Notre Dame because their basketball team sucks, but I don't want to see that at Michigan. Add in the speedskating controversy, and it has not been a good month for Under Armour.
