here's one vote for "John Beilein's head in a Futurama jar"
Seeing as we are in the transition period from football season into basketball season, anyone know where to find BBall wallpapers that aren't extremely dated? After doing a pretty decent Google and MGoBlog search, the results are lacking to say the least. Most of google's wallpapers have #3 on it, but its the #3 last name Harris.
The New Orleans Hornets are expected to become the New Orleans Pelicans, perhaps as early as the 2013-14 season, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.
Yahoo! Sports, citing numerous sources, reports the team also considered Krewe and Brass as potential nicknames.
LINK Well I must say, Pelicans is an upgrade over Krewe and Brass.
I want the Michigan team to meet all of its goals this season, but I also want the Michigan team to meet one of my goals this season: beat sparty. Not just once; but everytime we play msu. The obvious stated, I do believe that no other B1G program has the success of msu in basketball over the last 10-15 years.
Although Michigan has won 3 of the last 4, the program has a long ways to go to match the success of msu. Sparty may not be little bro in basketball, but we all known its mentality is 100% "little bro-ish" in football and probably in life. I do hope the success of Michigan basketball will bring sparty back to its natural mentality--hating on Michigan constantly no matter what the cost. To reinforce my belief that this is currently happening, I am wondering today: what player(s)--occupying comparable position/roles for each team--would you trade? When Vogrich was starting, I might have offered him for Brandon Dawson, but that doesn't seem like equal roles/positions anymore.
So, who would you trade? Any of our starting big men for Nix? Payne?
Any guards or wings for Appling? Harris? Valentine? Trice? Kearney? Byrd?
I'm currently hating my days prepping for a licensing exam, so I appreciate any comments that help me procrastinate or kill time.
For me this is a tough question. I want to say Trey Burke and this is the way I am leaning, because without Trey they don't win a share of the BIG Title last season. Ok I will go with Burke.
Other top candidates IMO:
Manny Harris - Manny was in Beilein's first class and it was important to get Manny to remain committed to M
Zack Novak - I could easily choose Novak over Burke. Zack personified the program in his 4 fantastic years with the program. Novak was a major part of laying the groundwork of what is now one of the best basketball programs in the country.
Darius Morris - Beilein's first **** recruit, a kid from the west coast who helped M sweep MSU in his last season with the Wolverines
Mitch McGary - Beilein's first recruit to opt for the Wolverines over the top national programs like Duke, Carolina and Kentucky.
EDIT: overlooked Coltan Christian and added to 2010. I used RIvals list and he's not on it, but is on the Scout list.

Top 3 stays the same, with IU #1, Duke #2, and UM #3. Syracuse slides up to #4 with OSU's loss to Duke. Surprised to see Pitt still outside the top 25 and even more surprised to see Kentucky at #19 in the Coaches Poll.
I realized at one point during the game against Bradley this weekend that if we were to somehow lose that game then the fans would rush the court and that that would have been weird for me to see... an opponent viewing a win against us as a big enough deal that rushing the court after a victory would seem appropriate.
So my question to the MGoCommunity is this:
When was the last time someone stormed the court after beating Michigan?
