"I love it that Ivy League coaches are coming to our camp and Big Ten coaches are coming to our camp. South Florida is coming. We've got about 70 schools that are coming to our camp."
So, I was searching for specific images of Spike for a gif (forthcoming. It's taking a long time, for some reason), and the following link popped up on a Google search for "Spike Albrecht".
We both know that the NCAA and universities skirts this stuff by selling jerseys with numbers and no names, references to players statements that don't include direct quotes, etc. However, this is something entirely different. This actually has the kids face on it. They are profiting from his likeness, specifically. There can be no argument here. It's his face. It's on a shirt.
Who does one contact about something like this? Somebody needs to have their business sized by the FBI or the SEC or something, don't they?
I've heard people talk about Jordan Morgan, and the possibility of him transferring for his 5th year of eligibility (if McGary returns). The NCAA allows this and doesn't make you sit out a season.
This made me think, with THJ leaving (best of luck to him in the NBA), do we possibly look into filling his void with a 5th year senior? It'd be an easy way to fill a scholarship for the 2013-14 season.
Does anyone know of any options out there?
Edit: The talk about Jordan Morgan transferring is all speculation from random internet posters. This has no credibility whatsoever, and my personal belief is that he's here to stay.

Kentucky, Duke, Arizona, and Michigan St at the 1 line
Michigan and Ohio St - 2 seed
Indiana - 4 seed
Wisconsin - 5 seed
Iowa - 7 seed
Illinois - 11 seed
Okay, so I know we are still 11 months away from Selection Sunday, but I still find them interesting to look at.
Best of luck to him.
As Brian noted on the front page yesterday, Tom Crean is currently oversigned for next year. Six players are coming in, and only five are leaving (Zeller, Oladipo, Hulls, Watford, and Elston). Conveniently,
Indiana announced for Remy Abell that he was going to leave Remy Abell announced that he was leaving in order to get more playing time somewhere else.
Howeva, now his mom is involved and it looks like she wants him to stay. No word on how Remy feels about this, but this could get very interesting if there is pushback from a player and his mom as Crean is trying to push him out the door to make scholarship room.
Also, IU is still recruiting Jaren Sina, a PG/SG that Michigan was hot on about a year ago. Obviously, a coach is wise to recruit all the time since circumstances are so fluid in CBB these days, but it just looks bad at this point.
