Iowa vs. Syracuse on ESPN2 now and BC vs. WVU on the U. Later it's Cal vs. Texas and Charlotte vs. South Carolina and Loyola(IL) at MSU.
Cal just beat Syracuse by 14 points and SMU lost to IU earlier by 6. Michigans schedule just lost 2 ranked teams in a few hours. This makes me feel much better about the next 10 games. In the end you have to win your games but does this make those to games must wins especially since their at home. Discuss
#12 Villanova just squeaked by Bucknell at home.
Hass went off again, with over 30 points for Bucknell. Bucknell was hosed quite a bit near the end by the refs.
Bucknell took the lead off a 3 with under minute left. Bucknell "fouled" Villanova, tying it at 65. On Bucknell's next possession, they lost it out of bounds and that was that.
Pretty interesting that the team Michigan absolutely slaughtered gave #12 Villanova all they could handle, at Villanova.
This is not OT, because Michigan may play Villanova next Tuesday in the Legends Classic.
Each Legends Classic team that's going to Brooklyn struggled with a mid-major.
- Michigan with Detroit
- Oregon with Detroit
- VCU with Toledo
- Villanova with Bucknell
Oregon still has a game left in their regional bracket against Toledo tomorrow night. Here's all the results thus far from the entire Legends Classic field in case you don't have the bracket printed/haven't seen it-
Michigan 77 Bucknell 53
Villanova 81 UMES 44
Oregon 83 Detroit 66
VCU 87 Toledo 78
Michigan 71 Detroit 62
VCU 106 UMES 66
Villanova 72 Bucknell 65
No one? here it is

I haven't seen any Jon Horford updates so I thought I'd look into how he is doing at Florida. It looks like Jon is the starting center and averaging 14 points and 6 boards in two games so far this year. On monday #8 Florida was upset by Miami (YTM), but Jon had 17 points, 7 boards and 3 blocks.

It's sad to see him playing for Florida knowing we could have used him this year, but glad he is at least starting and looking to have a good year. I wish him all the best and hope he makes it to the next level.
* looks like I missed a couple of posts about this already. Please delete or change it to Hey, It's Friday! Posbang Thread!
Brendan Quinn put up a nice ARTICLE on Carlton Brundidge's return to his prior home court, and Juwan Howard Jr.'s visit to his father's old stomping grounds. Both players relished a career at Michigan, but Brundidge wanted immediate playing time (he was well-regarded out of h.s.) and Howard Jr. was not quite skilled enough in h.s. to merit a UofM scholarship.
It sounds like Brundidge has really matured well, and Howard comes off well in the article too. Their presence certainly adds a nice element to the UofD Mercy game. I wish these kids the best, and wish things had worked out better for Brundidge during his time with Michigan.
