"Jim's a tough guy and you can see his personality is all over this football team," Fitzgerald said.
Nice win for Michigan over the boilermakers giving them there 10th straight win. Lets keep the momentum going into Assembly Hall. Heres the full game Enjoy GO BLUE!
Oh and by the way, per the article, ohio is going to wear theirs against Michigan.
Because wearing ugly uniformz went well last time they played Michigan.
Idle Friday thoughts: which team is better, last year's or this year's basketball team? Compare this team to how they were both at this time last year (ranked #1 for the week going into the Indiana game) and how they were playing at the end of the year, during the tournament run.
If they were playing each other, who would win?
For no apparent reason, 2015 basketball recruiting has been very slow for Beilein and company, who, like and Hoke and company, have tended to wrap up classes on the early side (save for the ocassional late addition like LeVert).
Per UMHoops, the most recent name to surface on Beilein's radar is 2015 4* G/SF Matt McQuaid out of Duncanville, TX (link here since my work computer won't allow me to click the OK button for the hyperlink: http://www.umhoops.com/2014/01/30/four-star-guard-matthew-mcquaid-receiving-michigan-interest).
-Looks to be young for his grade (check) with potential to grow more (check)
-Good shooter (check); high release point (bonus points)
-Potential to play multiple positions, most likely 2 and 3 (check)
-Comfortable putting the ball on the floor (check)
-Good basketball DNA/IQ (his dad played at CMU and coaches) (check)
-Defensive buy-in (check)
Looks like he'd be a great addition to the class.Video below due to issue mentioned above:
With the win over Purdue, the Michigan Wolverines are now 8-0 in the Big Ten for the first time since the 1976-77 season. The only other 8-0 Big Ten start was in the 1970-71 season. Our best start was in the 1964-65 season, when we won 13 straight to start the conference season. So right now we are tied for the second best start in conference in team history, and, with a win at Indiana on Sunday, this team will stand alone as the second best start in program history. GO BLUE! BEAT THE HOOSIERS!
(Apologies if this has already been posted, but I didn't see it anywhere.)
Listing to Sam Webb and they brought up this 0pportunity for vote for a charity backed by the NCAA basketball coaches. You can vote one time each day:
Currently OSU and Thad Matta are way out front with about 35% of the vote vs 2% for Michigan. This one goes to fund a charity of choice, so it is worth the few seconds to vote even without not wanting someone like Matta or Izzo to win.
