chance of bowl: 13.6%
Title is self-explanatory. Relive the glorious destruction of Florida.
It's on CBS Sports so most might not have it, but if you do, I recommend watching. I can't wait to see Stauskas hit all 5 threes again.
Minnesota has hired FIU's Richard Pitino, son of Louisville head coach Rick Pitino, as head of ther men's basketball program.
One more time:
Has anyone ever been to one of these final four practices? I noticed a lot of fellow bloggers had been to many other final fours and I am considering hitting up this practice. The problem is that I live a couple hours away and would be bringing my 15 month old. It could be a cool father-son experience if players interact with some kids in the crowd or something but if its literally a practice followed by another practice and no interaction than it would likely not be worth the trip. Any feedback is helpful.
I'm only posting this because I think this is DISGUSTING if Adidas makes a DIME off these shirts they're selling.
Also, Michigan is Adidas and wear the 'Rise' shirts, so there is somewhat of a link.
Only now Adidas has replaced the 's' with the number 5 for Louisville. RI5E TO THE OCCASSION.
I'm hoping by posting this people will continue to post and there will be so much backlash that Adidas will donote ALL proceeds to a charity of Kevin Ware's choice. If they make a cent from these shirts it will be a travesty.
I love the idea of creating support for the L'ville fans, I even think the shirts are cool...but I don't think Adidas should get the money. That's it. Hopefully Cardinal Nation will buy them in full force and support Kevin. Hopefully Adidas isn't getting richer from it.
$25 per shirt!
I know if this was Michigan and the money went to Mott Children's Hospital, this board would be going NUTS to buy. Hell, I'd probably get two. Again, awesome concept if the money goes to the right place.
I can't say I would be too happy if I was a gopher fan - tubby seemed preferable. To me, Richard Pitino's greatest accomplishment on his resume seems to be his last name. Minny would be an interesting team, however, if they start running the press defense system that they use at louisville, but I'm not sure if he used it at Florida International University (FIU).
Really good write up on Beilein's philosophy about reducing the number of plays he has to call, looking for what he calls "flow". Also discusses the emphasis that has been placed on outside shooting in practice and using Horford, Morgan and McLimans on the outside defending to mimic Syracuse's length.
“I would prefer to be all flow if we can. I still think that we call too many plays, but it’s within the action,” Beilein said after Tuesday’s open practice. “You’ll see the same set, but we’re going with a different action. If we can get to a point with a very veteran team, they can run it all themselves. Now with three freshmen out there, we still have to assist a lot of them in what to run and why to run it.
And something else to file in Brian's John Beilein is first season Walter White theory:
“It’s tough to do the Harlem Shake sitting down,” Beilein said, laughing. “We had some other people trying to hog the camera, in case you didn’t notice that.
“We had some really great music on the bus. The bus driver had a CD that was very good. I had to cover my ears a couple times because he said he didn’t have an edited version. We had some dancing on the bus, it was wonderful.”
The whole article is worth reading. LINK
