Per multiple outlets, 6'3" shooting guard Brevin Pritzl is set to visit this weekend. Pritzl lit things up at Spiece (big deal AAU tournament for player evaluations), dropping 37 and 41 points in successive games.
He currently has offers from a few smaller Wisconsin-area DI schools and a few MAC programs, but reports new interest from some B1G programs including Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Minnesota.
Should be interesting to see what happens with an offer still out to Jalen Coleman. The coaching staff's push to get an immediate visit after contacting him for the first time only days ago seems to hint that an offer may follow (quite unlike the way the staff wasn't in a rush to get McQuaid on campus).
EDIT: Also, per one commenter on another site, cue the "Pritzl's Pretzels" costumes if he ends up here.
Apparently Alabama offered our 2015 safety, in which he replied:
"Alabama is a big offer, but I'm 100% to Michigan"
One could say it validates his commitment to the good guys, soooo... 2014? Good news?
Golden State has decided to fire Mark Jackson. It seems like the firing had more to do with Jackson clashing with upper management than actual performance. The situation sounds very similar to what has been ongoing between Jim Harbaugh and the Niners front office. I wouldn't mind if the Pistons took a look at Jackson. Is it possible Izzo takes a look at the Warriors job (if offerered), considering Draymond Green is there and that team is ready to win now?
I hate this conference more and more with every move they make.
Delany wouldn’t be specific, but he acknowledged that the league also will look to play its men’s basketball tournament in the New York area
“This is the next major step,” Delany said. “There will be other major steps to be announced over the next couple of months.”
Class of 2015 SG target Matt McQuaid verbally committed to Larry Brown and SMU today. McQuaid is from Duncanville, TX which is only about 20 minutes away from SMU. Michigan was thought to have a good shot with him, but things aren't always as they seem. Despite missing out on McQuaid and fellow TX wing Austin Grandstaff (OSU), Michigan is still in the running for the SG Jalen Coleman, the #31 overall recruit in the class.
