NBA Summer League Roundup
This is more or less a thinly veiled request for information on Deshawn Sims.
Yesterday he tweeted this:
Deshawn Sims @Peedi3416
Headed Too Vegas. Time Too work ! http://instagr.am/p/NEhHLETRGS/
And today he tweeted this:

Did the knicks or suns pick him up? Dylan doesn't have anything about it up on umhoops...?
In other news...Manny Harris is collecting "DNP Coach's Decision" from the Houston Rockets. Think he has got two so far.
Darius looked a little nervous in his first start with the Lakers on Friday, but he finished with 11 points on 11 shots in 26 minutes. The lakers summer league team...how to put this nicely...They're not very good.
Darius took things into his own hands on Saturday against the Kings, scoring 17 on 15 shots in 24 minutes.

Even Courtney Sims saw some action for the Grizzlies on Saturday, scoring 4 on 5 shots in 15 minutes.

DVR reminder/Open thread: Mens BBall USA vs Dominican Republic
Game is on ESPN 9:00 Eastern
Interesting game because of a couple M connections.
Current Wolverine John Horford plays for the Dominican as well as former Wolverine Josh Asselin (Go Caro).
Here's a preview of the game http://www.faniq.com/blog/USA-Basketball-Exhibition-vs-Dominican-Republic-Preview-Blog-52196
UM Womens BB: Dont lose Saniya Chong!
this is an open call-out to the womens basketball team: do not lose Saniya Chong!
I have tried on multiple occasions to (in compliance) contact our womens recruiting staff to tell them that one of the top HS players in the country is a High Honor student who will look her best in maize and blue..........and now her "top 4" list is published in the local papers and it includes Ohio State (as well as UConn, Marylnad and Louisville.
Saniya Chong is a 5' 9" guard from a suburb of New York City who is incredibly good.......much better than another local girl who started at guard as a freshman for west virginia. Chong recently went to a big tourney and scored 53 or her teams 79 points.....with Geno Auriemma in the front row. Shooting, passing, rebounding, defense- she excels (and dominates) in all.
I cannnot imagine seeing her in scarlet and gray., and if that happens, she will get plenty of ink on this blog as she torches us.
Kim B-A: go get Chong!
Corey Person Returning for 5th Season with Michigan Men's Hoops
Saw that Corey Person is returning to the Michigan basketball team for a fifth year to offer some leadership to the team. There’s an intriguing transfer possibility who might’ve been a good fit.
Jake O’Brien, a 6-8 forward who’s got a decent 3-point shot and had been the America East Rookie of the Year in 2009, but has had foot injury problems the past two years, is transferring from Boston University. BU has been banned from the America East conference tournaments because they’re moving to the Patriot League after this year.
There’s a chance he could land at Penn State to play for former BU head coach Patrick Chambers.
