"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."
Per Sam Webb on Twitter, Miles Bridges will be taking an official visit to UM on October 10. He visited unofficially a few weeks ago (his first visit), so this second visit should be pretty important if we're gonna make up ground on Kentucky and MSU.
That being said, I would caution against getting hopes up about anything related to basketball recruiting until about 9 am on National Signing Day.
So I'm looking at going to the Battle 4 Atlantis and I was wondering if anyone on the blog was going and had found a well-priced option to get there. I checked through the hotel and they estimated $6200 for 2 adults and 2 kids for an airfare/hotel combo. The fact that the tourney is over the Thanksgiving holiday probably jacks up the airfare price. Any thoughts? Is there a UM affiliate chartering a plane out of DTW/AA?
T.J. Leaf released a final eight of Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA, Texas, Cal, San Diego State, Gonzaga, and Indiana.
Here are some red pandas if you're feeling bad about this:
Per multiple reports, 2016 5* forward TJ Leaf decommitted from Arizona last night. The 6'9" big man had significant interest in Michigan and was offered by Beilein. He also has family ties to Indiana and was strongly considering the Hoosiers before eventually picking the Wildcats.
Apparently Michigan made contact last night, but 247's Crystal Ball has seen a run on UCLA which makes sense given his apparent (if unstated) desire to stay on the West Coast.
Gonzaga/Washington, Texas/Texas A&M, UConn/Michigan, Syracuse/Charlotte are 1st round matchups in the 2015 Battle 4 Atlantis, per release.
