David Merritt - Sharing Something Special

I had some incredible years playing at Michigan. And that was because of my teammates, the staff, the fans, the tradition. I'm so thankful for my Michigan experience and wanted to share a new venture I'm working on with the Michigan faithful. It's called Merit.

Merit is cause design. We create fashionable products that help disadvantaged youth get to college by donating 20% of your purchases to fund college scholarships. In addition, it's important for us to provide resources and opportunities for underserved youth to gain college admission. Therefore, we've launched FATE (Day 1 Recap), our very own education program with Detroit's Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, preparing the next generation to embrace their education and become world class citizens.

However, in order to officially launch Merit, we need the proper funding. We are in the midst of a crowdfunding campaign at http://indiegogo.com/merit. From now until December 21st, you’ll be able to grab Merit product, help us manufacture the line, and raise money for underserved youth to go to college.

Any support you can give, even if it's just a tweet, is much appreciated. Thank you so much for your time. Wherever you may go, GO BLUE!

Wallpaper Season (Basketball) - December 2012

Ok, so I saw a request for these on the board, so I figured I'd just throw them out there.  I'll work on some additional wallpapers to add some variety, but this is a busy season for work and I'll most likely not have too much free time to kill.  That being said, here's the first installment of basketball wallpapers, both Desktop (16:9) and Mobile formats.  Hope this helps sate the current wallpaper hunger pains until we get some more on the board.

Desktop (16:9)

AND

Mobile (iPhone, etc.)

Enjoy!

Congratulations Coach Beilein on win #650!

If you really think about it, if 20+ win seasons become the expected norm he's going to be racking up wins at a pretty good pace and will be moving into the rarified air of the 700-800 win club before he's done here. Currently only 16 guys have won 800 games. Only 7 if you take out all those who never coached at a major BCS style program. Some other guys are coaching still and will get there, and the guys at the top will continue to build on their lead, but impressive in any regard.

Seeing as we are in the transition period from football season into basketball season, anyone know where to find BBall wallpapers that aren't extremely dated?  After doing a pretty decent Google and MGoBlog search, the results are lacking to say the least. Most of google's wallpapers have #3 on it, but its the #3 last name Harris.

OT: New Orleans Pelicans???

The New Orleans Hornets are expected to become the New Orleans Pelicans, perhaps as early as the 2013-14 season, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.

Yahoo! Sports, citing numerous sources, reports the team also considered Krewe and Brass as potential nicknames.

LINK  Well I must say, Pelicans is an upgrade over Krewe and Brass.
