I did not make this headline up
Michigan, Wisconsin, and Staee all made it to the Elite Eight, giving the B1G 3 teams to make it this far, more than any other conference. It's not hard to see since it's only 8 teams, but here's the breakdown:
B1G (3): Michigan, Wisconsin, Staee
SEC (2): Florida, Kentucky
Pac-12 (1): Arizona
AAC (1): Uconn
A-10 (1): Dayton
(Nicely done, ACC; Big 12.... nicely done.)
My question, then, is does this at all validate the B1G as the best conference in basketball? Last year it was a no-brainer. This year there has been more speculation. So are we the best or is this just the tournament being the tournament?
If we are the best, does that mean Michigan will finally get the respect we deserve, or do we have to make it past UK for anyone to start believing that this team can win it all?
I think that the B1G is definitely the best conference, and this just proves it. I'm not sure that the media or anyone else will give us a fighting chance in this game, though. I would hope that should we make a second-straight Final Four, the critics will drop. Thoughts?
OMG IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!
Ok, so I'm headin to Indy tomorrow evening to attend the game on Sunday, so I wanted to make sure I got this out in time. I hope you enjoy these. I did two slight variations of the same idea. I like how they turned out and, quite honestly, I think these could make SWEET t-shirts. Anyone who knows of a t-shirt maker that could do this quickly, hook me up and I'll send you the files (they're photoshop currently, but I can convert the main graphic to vector for illustrator or indesign printing). I'm honestly not sure the last time I was this excited to attend a sporting event. I didn't get to go to UTL (biggest regret of my sporting life), so I'm hopeful that Michigan has a strong showing against the one-and-done poster boys of UK. Honestly, I was hoping for a revenge game against Louisville, but I'll take it because OMG ELITE EIGHT! As usual, constructive criticisms and/or ideas for new wallpapers are always encouraged/welcome. Enjoy and GO BLUE!

Would have been nice to have a rematch for some revenge but I think UK might be a better matchup if only for experience reasons. Our beloved Wolverines are practically old timers compared to all of their 1-and-dones and they won't have time to prepare for all the tricks Beilein has up his sleeve. I think the winner of this game takes the whole thing.
Which was a greater blown call? I think that the ball going off of Maymon was a greater missed call because they reviewed it and still missed it.
Simple question though likely a complex answer, who do you prefer we play on Sunday? This isn't over who is likely to win today, but more who do we match up better against?
EDIT: My thought is that I would rather Michigan play Kentucky, the reasoning being that a barrage of 3's and a strong first half attack might rattle a young Kentucky team, whereas a great coach like Pitino will have better prepared his team to rally. That said Kentucky's talent is scary and it appears they are playing to form.
