to play football, not to play trumpet
Major Blow in a game we need all the help we can get.
WIN. THE. GAME
For those of you stuck in Football-Land (an admittedly fun place to be), your 2015-16 Michigan Basketball Wolverines travel to West Lafeyette tonight for a matchup with the Boilermakers. Painter will do his absolute best to keep us in this game as he always does with all opponents, but this team needs to bring it tonight. Just a couple of ranked(ish) road wins does so much for a tourney resume and seeding. Any thoughts on the matchup and the team welcome, or a Beat the Boilers pos-bang would be fine. Thought there should be a hoops thread this morning.
Clarifying what his dad said last week, Spike Albrecht gave his first post-"retirement" interview to the Detroit News today. He said he absolutely doesn't want to transfer, but might want to play again next year.
Big blow to a team that already isn't very good. Gonna be interesting to see what they do against a Wisconsin team tonight that isn't very good, either.
Although we're in the throes of 2016 football recruiting, 2017 basketball recruiting is starting to heat up. Michigan recently offered 2017 PF Kyle Young (Massilon, OH) and received an unofficial visit from Danilo Djuricic (somewhere in Ontario) per TodaysU.
Danilo is a pretty intriguing player. About 6'7"/6'8" with possibly some room to grow from the looks of it. He seems to have good defensive instincts and timing, and moves really well for his size. Form on his jumpshot looks nice and steps into it. Handle looks weak and has a bit of trouble adjusting when attacking the basket.
Beilein hasn't offered yet, but Washington St, Duquesne, and Niagra have. Other major programs watching him right now are Florida, Purdue, Illinois, and Stanford.
