Michigan took on Xavier tonight in women's basketball, the night before both schools will meet on the same floor in the men's game.
Let's just hope the Men of Michigan can follow the women's lead.
The Wolverines blitzed the Musketeers. 5 Wolverines scored in double figures, including 4 out of the Michigan starting 5 (Flaherty, Dunston, Thome, Ristovski with Munger coming off of the bench).
Another stellar 2nd quarter by Michigan powered them to another rout. Michigan outscored Xavier 24-6 in the 2nd to take a 49-20 halftime lead.
What Michigan lost in a post precence with Cyesha Goree graduating has been offset with the amount of scoring weapons they have on this team. The best recruiting class in program history has already showed itself accounting for 42% of Michigan's 270 points scored this season.
Michigan is now 3-0, averaging 90 PPG. They'll face South Carolina Upstate on Monday at home.
So, ESPN has this on their front page with the headline 'George Embarrasses Stauskas', with the suggestion (helped by the announcer) that George breaks Stauskas's ankles with a fake. But if you watch the video, Staiskas clearly falls because George steps on his foot. Do they even watch the videos they post?
With basketball season in full swing and the B1G season looming, I figure it's time to revisit an important annual question - who is the most annoying basketball player in the B1G?
I can provide you with no fixed criteria. The reason(s) this player annoys you are entirely subjective. All answers in this thread, however, are equally valid. This player can be annoying due to:
-a great amount of God-given skill while playing for the Buckeyes (Evan Turner)
-a penchant for hitting timely 3-pointers (pick an undersized Wisconsin guard)
-being a master at attaching himself to a PG's hip/forearm (Craft)
-choosing to play for Tom Crean over John Beilein (Yogi)
-seriously unfortunate looks combined with skill (Denzel Valentine)
-or an infatuation with the human ability to flex (Troy Williams).
The pick for this year, I think, is rather obvious - Bryn Forbes. Mildly talented but appears to have the confidence of an NBA lottery pick. Exuberance that far exceeds his ability to grow proper facial hair. Screams and floor slaps after every 3, followed by matador defense. Swagger befitting a kid from NYC not the greater Lansing area.
Kentucky vs. Duke starting shortly
Then CFP rankings announced at 9:30.
Then Kansas vs. MSU afterward.
A bunch of teams I dislike, all playing in the same night! On ESPN.
Well its that time of the year again. With football being fun again im not sure if everyone is aware but basketball season has begun. Ill be uploading all the games i can get and the inside Michigan basketball episodes later this year. Enjoy. GO BLUE!!
