a terrible blight on our fine country
MSU now has the #1 class in 2016. Good thing the game is on!

The book alleges: “At the peak of the dormitory and off-campus entertainment more than $10,000 cash changed hands to Katina for supplying the women. This does not include the hundreds of one dollar bills thrown at the dancers at each party by McGee, the recruits and players. Nor does it include the money paid to the women who had sex with the recruits afterward. So frequent were the escapades that Katina would later say, especially after the Cardinals won the 2012-2013 NCAA championship: I felt like I was part of the recruitment team. A lot of them players went to Louisville because of me.”
The actions described in the book would appear to be both illegal and in violation of school and NCAA rules. If, as Powell alleges, players who were members of Louisville’s championship team received impermissible benefits that were provided by a staff member, the Cardinals’ title would seemingly be in jeopardy.

Could lead to vacating the 2012-2013 NCAA Championship if true. If only that ref had got that clean block right instead of calling a foul on Trey Burke...
Always nice to hear about how former players are doing in the pros, and this is no exception. Many were sad/surprised when GRIII left early and wasn't drafted until the 2nd round, but an executive from Indiana was pretty pumped.
The article/work laptop (Yay IE whatever) won't allow me to copy/paste a snippet but Bird wanted to acquire GRIII for over a year and ended up investing in him pretty heavily with a 3 year deal. Worth the click.
Per multiple reports on twitter, SMU basketball banned from postseason play this year and head coach Larry Brown suspended for 30% of the season (~10 games). This would seem to include Michigan's game at SMU in December.
Updated to include Jeff Goodman tweet:

The winningest coach in Michigan Women's Basketball history percentage-wise has signed a contract extension.
KBA signed a 3-year extension today on her existing contract that now goes through the 2020-21 season.
Wonder if she was being pursued by other schools as she had years on her existing contract still left.
Barnes Arico is 62-40 here which ranks 5th all-time in wins among Michigan head coaches. Her .608 win percentage is the highest ever. Michigan has made the postseason every year she has been here.
Her .500 conference record is one percentage point shy of being the highest B1G winning percentage of any Michigan WBB head coach ever.
