Michigan (27-17, 11-7 B1G) rode the wave of their series sweep of Purdue last weekend into Minneapolis.
After the Friday game was forced into a doubleheader on Saturday due to rain, Michigan dropped the first game 2-1 but took the second 4-2.
Today was a different story in terms of offense as it was a one-sided affair with Michigan taking the win.
Michigan took a 3-0 lead but Minnesota tied it up after 6 innings. In the 7th, Michigan's offensive exploded.
An RBI from Jake Bivens, 2 runs walked due to loaded bases and a Jacob Cronenworth 3-run double made it 9-3 Michigan.
In the 8th inning, Cody Bruder made it 11-3 with a 2-run triple and then Michigan tacked on one more run with a Jake Bivens sac fly making it 12-3.
Michigan's offense was great but it was sophomore pitcher Brad Adcock that stole the show with 11Ks in 8 innings pitched.
Much tougher task up next for Michigan. They'll host 2nd place Iowa who is 28-11 and 11-2 in the B1G, just a game behind Illinois for first place in the conference.
Only one game in the series will have video available. The Saturday game will be live on BTN for Michigan's first home TV game of the season.
After finally becoming relevant the Royals have decided to have to develop a Napoleon complex and it's starting to become quite the issue as they're picking fights every series.

Michigan took game 1 against Purdue in a 9-0 rout and won the second game in a close 7-5 win.
Michigan outscored Purdue 25-8 this weekend.

The Wolverines finished up their 3 game series at Penn State with a big win. After being clubbed 11-1 in the opener, Michigan took game two 5-3 and finished off the series today with an 8-3 decision.
On the mound the Wolverine pitchers were great. Adcock was dealing going 6 innings, 2 hits and no earned runs. Vancena threw 1 2/3, 2 hits and one run.
Ogden got into a 9th inning jam facing 1st and 3rd with one out, but he got the 2nd out on a strikeout and finished the game with a groundout.
Another multi-error game has continued a rather unsettling trend and both runs from PSU came unearned from errors, one fielding the other a wild pitch.
At the plate Glines went 2-for-5, Bruder 2-for-5 but Travis Maezes broke the game open in the 7th. Leading 3-2 he went deep into the left field corner to score one, scored on a fielding error and doubled again in the inning to stretch the lead to 8-2. He finished 3-for-4 with four RBI.
The Wolverines improve to 21-14 overall and 6-6 in the Big Ten.
