I'm highly interested in making the trip to the game on Saturday, but I'm having a hell of a time finding tickets for under $150-$200 anywhere (eBay, Stubhub, craigslist, etc). I'm considering driving down there and just trying to buy tickets off scalpers, but I've never been to South Bend for a game so I don't know what the scalper situation is like.
So, to anybody who's been to Notre Dame Stadium in recent years -- how abundant are scalpers around the stadium? Would I have a decent shot at a deal?
I ordered tickets off mgoblue on June 29th, but haven't gotten anything in mail yet.
Should we be worried?
Has anyone received M-UCONN tix ordered from the UCONN site? I ordered, and my confirmation said they would be mailed in August if "approved." They have already been billed to my credit card but that can be easily reversed.
Anyone know what demand was like for UCONN's allotment?
This is branched off the thread from yesterday about the Athletic Department changing the seating for the Big Chill game and basically screwing all us hockey season ticket holders. (http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/meh-news-student-hockey-season-ticket-holders)
I read that some of you had emailed the athletic department about the screw job. I did too and I have not received any response yet. I was curious if anyone else got any messages back if you did send one. If you did one back, what did they say?
My wife and I are planning to make the trip from South Carolina to Bloomington for the October 2 game. Meanwhile, I need some advice on how it is best to get tickets for the game. My brother-in-law will be moving up in August to work on his PhD at Indiana. He would do his best to get tickets using his Indiana connections (and I'm guessing that might be cheapest) I don't know if that would be best. Neither my wife nor I are Hoosier fans, and while I doubt the Indiana crowd would be ravenous, I'm also guessing the Michigan side of things might be more enjoyable for my first Michigan game since 1996.
Would you suggest that I try to get tickets from the official means through U of M, or should I try to get them through Stub-hub, etc.?
Also, for those of you who have been to Indiana, what stadium sections should I avoid- or would that even be a factor if I should stick with the visiting fan sections?
Any other advice about the visit to Bloomington is appreciated. It's a long way off, but I want it to be a good experience for both of us.
