paulus tate forcier
Alright, after you're done taking tiny snippets of interviews/twitters whatever... STOP and actually THINK for a minute.
Tate looked pretty damn good in the Spring game. He is also going to have MONTHS/COUNTLESS REPS on anybody else coming in from today on.
Has he ever gotten snippy/ancy/unsure of his role yet? No. Not even with "DR", WHO IS MOST CERTAINLY COMING and HAS PLAYED FOOTBALL IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS, has Tate ever seemed anything but confident and ready to compete.
His inability to understand/comment on the situation(i.e. "the interview") seems more likely to stem from uncertainty about how "real" the situation is, rather than fear of "what if" should it ACTUALLY occur. Give him some credit. Geez.
Aside from that, "I'd like to believe my coaches, they recruited me", or whatever the exact lingo was, can be taken like, "Man, I'm worried, can I believe my coaches?", or like "I'd like to belive my coaches, you guys don't know what you're talking about." There is no "tone" in a reporting badgering a kid until he regurgitates the same line 15 times.
I'm sure the coaches don't run and tell him/get his OK on every recruiting detail. I'm sure he's aware of it in the periphery, just like the fact that we'd take another Gardner-quality QB in this next class too. No matter who/when they come, I'm sure Tate is bright enough to know that the coaches are always going to tell others that they "will be given a chance to compete."
ALL WILL BE FINE.
