I did not make this headline up
Interesting article quoting AJ McCarron as saying Saban handcuffs his offensive coordinators. While he wasn't sure if this was the case in Alabama's last loss, while he was there Saban was known to do this (when Nussmeier was the OC). May explain a bit more why the parting was more mutual than anything.
Not too far fetched to believe the same is happening under Hoke.
This is music to my ears. Hopefully, Hoke lets Nussmeier implement the no huddle at Michigan.
Some have speculated that Kiffin will bring more no-huddle tendencies to the Alabama offense. McCarron isn’t so sure.
“I just don’t buy into that as much, just because that’s what Nuss did at Washington,” McCarron said. “They did no-huddle. We practiced no-huddle, and then when we went into games, it’s like Coach (Saban) didn’t want us to do no-huddle. So I was sometimes a little lost and didn’t get everything, but Coach Saban is the best in the business for a reason. I just trusted in him.”
60 Minutes is running a piece Sunday on Nick Saban and what he does at Alabama.
I am not sure how hard hitting it would be. It began back in August and I don't recall any big news having hit then. It was before Ha Ha Clinton Dix had to sit out due to the loan for instance.
On the 60 Minutes Sports Thursday night, they are running one more on the program as a whole. They have a lot with Scott Cochrane the Strength and Conditioning Coach. They are also running a segment on the deer antler spray (that came out after the Alabama Notre Dama game). Maybe that one digs deeper?
Just thought I would share.
There is a report that a UT regent has initiated a talk with Saban's agent. What are the chances? I would say 50/50
Bielema, on Saban:
"... he can't compare."
That's not all, but it's the best part. You can read the rest here:
