like I said on twitter: that was almost as intense as Iowa NIT games
Nebraska
Taylor Martinez demonstrates the perfect pass
Guys, the B1G is gonna be in serious trouble against Nebraska this year. I don't know if we can take them. Taylor Martinez's throwing motion is nearing perfection!
Just look at that beauty!
Su'a Cravens to Visit Michigan and Ohio State in the Next Week
According to Adam Gorney of Rivals, consensus 5 star safety Su'a Cravens will indeed make it on campus. How his visits and Michigan and OSU go will determine if he visits Nebraska. Still seems like a longshot given his timeline, but the key in recruiting is to get a player on campus. I don't think it's possible to overestimate how huge of a get Cravens would be.

Feeding Division 1 Athletes
Recently saw this Omaha World-Herald interview with Nebraska's Director of Sports Nutrition, Lindsey Remmers. She discusses her team's role in getting Cornhusker athletes ready for competition. Nothing earth-shattering in the article; I just enjoy learning about different parts of athletic departments that don't get a lot of spotlight but have a big impact on what we see on the field.
I also think this article does a good job shining light on the positive aspects of collegiate athletics that numbskulls like Buzz Bissinger forget about when they write hackjob articles espousing the evils of division one football.
Lifeskills like learning to balance a diet and how to shop at the grocery are lessons that many of these students never received. My mom was somewhat of a hippie so I got the other end of the healthy diet spectrum but that's something I'd still enjoy learning more about from an expert.
Nebraska RB Aaron Green to Transfer
Nebraska RB Aaron Green will be transferring from Nebraska. This is a pretty big loss for Nebraska. He was a 5-star to ESPN and Scout and a 4-star to Rivals and 24/7. He had a decent season as a true freshman:
Green appeared in 12 games as a freshman last season, rushing 24 times for 105 yards and two touchdowns and catching one pass for 25 yards and a TD.
It seems that a lot of Nebraska fans felt that that Green would be the #2 back this year and the starter once Burkhead left. It seems he left because he was unhappy splitting carries with Abdullah at the #2 back.

Some of my notes:
-Our game at Notre Dame will be a night game. I'm not sure why that's not included on this schedule.
-The above would put Ohio, Nebraska, IU and us at 3 prime-time games each. As for why IU is getting 3 prime-time games, I don't think anyone really knows.
-Purdue is the only team with no prime-time games.

Um... Why is 1997 Nebraska kicking our ass?
Michigan is getting whooped in some stupid SportsNation poll about which team was more deserving of the '97 nation championship. Barf.
