"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."
Pretty Simple - which Miraculous "He's not down? What?!" touchdown run do you prefer?
Both players show incredible balance somehow maintaining their feet through a mess, both had people going "He's still up?", both broke another tackle on their way to the end zone. So which one is your favorite? In looking at these, I watched a lot of Mike Hart runs, and I have to say that while I LOVE the agression Smith runs with - I think Hart's balance was equal or better than Smith, and there's just something about the way Hart could teleport three feet to the side and make a sure tackler completely whiff that few people ever see. I'm biased from watching all these highlights, but I still give the edge to Hart.
Title pretty much says it all.
To expand briefly, the article touches on Hart's time here as a break-out star, and his role as a still-young coach at Western, who coincidentally played MSU already and OSU this weekend. A good read!
FYI to all autograph collectors, Mike Hart will be signing for free at the new Ann Arbor Menards next Thursday, October 1 from 6-8. It's on Jackson Rd. west of Zeeb on the south side (same side as that Meijer). The flyer also notes that Chris Chelios (Monday the 28th, 6-8) and Herman Moore (Wednesday the 30th, 6-8) are also scheduled. Fine print is
Limit two free autographs per person. Autograph lines subject to close at 7 PM. Appearances subject to change or cancellation without notice
Per @footballscoop (tweet embedded below), Mike Hart is moving from EMU to WMU. It was previously reported that the new EMU coach did indeed want to keep Hart on his new staff, so this was probably not a case of being "forced out."
No, this is not from the Onion:
Twas the night before Eastern
And all through my house
Not a creature was stirring
The twins were knocked out
The Dukies had long since put the Red Bears to bed
#2 for another week shrugged my shoulders and said...
If Michigan can break 50 they have nothing to fear
They may be Boilerslayers, but Purdue sucks this year.
Daylen Harrison is their best player 49% for 10 points a game
Leads the Eagles grabbing 7 rebounds with his lanky 6-6 frame.
Glenn Bryant runs the post, his shooting couldn't be colder
10 points on 40% from the field, 7% from Boulder.
Derek Thompson leads them in scoring at 12 points a contest
38% averaging 7 tries, their only deep shooter and best.
Jalen Ross runs the point dealing 3 dimes and 2 refunds
shoots 23% from the floor and 17% on the long ones.
Got pounded by 18 on the boards, but beat Purdue by 3.
Boilers gave 'em 18 Christmas presents, Mike Hart tweeted “Yipee!”
Nearly doubled up by the “Cuse, Eagles really can't score
Forced 18 orange turnovers, but gave back 24.
When Michigan they play they have not a chance
All of the rebounds to McGary, then he will do a Beiber dance
The Eagles play good defense and make you turn the ball over
But Trey Burke is slicker than Gene Keady's combover.
In the end Tim and St. Nick will make them look terrible
Any defense they play, Trey will never lose his dribble.
And the announcer will call as we walk out of sight
85-44 Michigan, and to all a good night!
