"Coach Mattison told me what the Ravens were about, what he thought," Beyer said. "He definitely encouraged me. I hold his opinion in high regard."
Michigan Marching Band
An update from a friend on the band's dress rehearsals with stadium amplification:
We've experimented with the sound amplification twice this week at stadium rehearsals. Unfortunately it's really hard to get a read on things without people in the stadium. Right now there's a significant delay between the actual sound and the amplified sound. It varies from minor to almost a beat late depending on where you are. It seems to be worse the lower you are in the stands for some reason, and it's also pretty bad anywhere on the east side. We'll have a better idea of things after the first game tomorrow.
I hope things go well; it'll be interesting to hear reports from stadiumgoers.
Just watched the video on MGoBlue.com of Dave Brandon Big 10 Divisions Press Conferecne.
(Almost at the end of the video.) It was Dave that proposed the rule change to the Big10 and he met a lot of resistance but got it passed (6-5).
Kudos to Dave Brandon!
I would fully support a Michigan Marching band version of the "Bed Intruder Song"
You guys are going to absolutely love the first show. Your voices were heard, and the Blues Brothers will be the first show this upcoming 2010 season. Rejoice? I think so.
Songs included: Everybody needs somebody to love, Gimme some Lovin', Minnie Moocher, Peter Gunn, Think, and Shake a Tail Feather.
I'm looking for a mp3 or other music file of intimidation (before 3rd down song) for use in NCAA 11. Does anyone have one? If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, see below:
I know we have a few bandos or a few former bandos who still talk to the band director on this board. Lets make some suggestions to help them choose songs to add to their playlist for the coming season.
After making the RoboCop avatar, I thought that the RoboCop theme song would be a good one.
