in town for free camps
[UPDATE 8/26/2014 from Seth:]
While the ticket spreadsheet was awesome for its time, we've known for some time that it's subject to abuse, and more likely to be damaged the more our community has grown. We've been on the lookout for some way to add a layer of security that's still free on both ends. Now we have that!
Go here: http://www.tiqiq.com/sellerdirect and sign in with your Facebook account. Then list your tickets, put MGoBlog somewhere in your description if you like, then copy the link to your tickets and paste on the spreadsheet.
Nobody's forced to use that system. This is just a protection for sellers so their price can't be changed, and for buyers so they know they're dealing with a real human with a name and pictures of their cat.
To go along with the 'more informative headlines' theme, this thread will hopefully get set as a sticky. I have made a spreadsheet listing all people selling and looking for tickets.. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Avnckx2kNv9GdGVPQXBQMDZQdFJ4RTJS... Basketball season is here.. I've started up a new sheet in the document for basketball. Ive made the permissions open to anyone to edit, so we'll try the trust method for a while until someone abuses. Feel free to post what you are looking for or selling. If it gets abused, I'll go back to the method of requiring someone to email me and then posting.
If I'm late to the party on noticing the extent of startups in A2 then so be it.
But I thought it was very cool and wanted to share.
A lot of interesting businesses are establishing themselves in A2 who are making products and solutions to real, global business problems.
Michigan and Ann Arbor should be proud of this trend.
Well folks the Freshman from the 2015 class just recieve there numbers Brian Cole and Zack Malzone already chosen there numbers 12 and 81 . As Dick Vital always says here's the diper dandys chosen numbers
QB Zack Gentry-10(Tom Brady's old number ,no sweat right)
DE/LB Reuben Jones-4(Usaually and offensive player gets number 4 but Deveon Smith has that number on the offensive side of the ball)
WR Grant Perry-9( he does remind me of Jeremy Gallon but we will see)
CB Keith Washington-6 ( Jabrill Peppers and Channing Stribling also wear single-digit numbers for the secondary)
TE Tyrone Wheatley Jr-8( He's the third player that wears that number on the team. QB Jow Hewlett to swich to another number.)
RB Karon Higdon-22( Michigan legend Ty Law worn that number)
S Tyree Kinnel-17 (Two Time SB Champ Larry Foote wore that number)
K Andrew David-16( Denard enough said)
OL Jon Runyan Jr-75( Jon Sr wore 69 but Jon Jr wanted to keep 75)
OL Grant Newsom - 77( Legendary Number worn by Jake Long and recently Taylor Lewan)
MOD EDIT - The title made my head hurt. I will invite the OP to do the remainder of the cleanup, should they choose to do so. Also, for those of you wondering why this bears a vague resemblence to a writeup Steve Lorenz did for Rivals, it is because this is a transcribed (and uncited sadly) version of that writeup. - LSA
Ok, so, just for fun, I'm doing a series of wallpapers based on movie posters. If you recall, last year I turned Jake Ryan into Captain America. This year I'm starting out with a remake of the Skyfall poster and featuring Jake Butt. If for no other reason than it's fun to say "Butt, Jake Butt." Anyway, I like how it turned out, but I'd love some constructive criticism and suggestions for movie posters to recreate with Michigan favorites. Enjoy!
The 1977 Rose Bowl game has been posted to Youtube today.
USC 10-1 vs. Michigan 10-1.
Michigan's only loss was 14-16 at Purdue.
USC's only loss was 25-46 to Missouri
Great game with tons of great stars on both sides.
USC tailback Ricky Bell (42), quarterback Vince Evans (8), FB Mosi Tatupu (36), Charles White (12) and DB Dennis Thurman (7). Bell got knocked out of the game at 7 minute mark by DB Jimmy Bolden (22). Jack Harbaugh coached the UM secondary in 1976.
Michigan fullback/tailback Rob Lytle (41), tailback Harlan Huckleby (25), wingback Jim Smith (37), quarterback Rick Leach (7) and All American OG Mark Donahue (60), OT Bill Dufek (73) OT Mike Kenn (78) and C Walt Downing (72) and more.
Michigan ran the option I offense, and I believe featured the top scoring and rushing offense in the nation that year, a feat Michigan football has not repeated since.
Curt Gowdy did a great job, per usual, but I'm pretty sure color analyst and former Dallas Cowboy quarterback Don Meredith was stoned and drunk during this NBC broadcast. That's the 70s for you.
Some eerie foreshadowing: Charles White fumbles the ball at the 1 hour 12 minute mark. It's recovered by Michigan at the 7 yard line by DL Mo Morton (77). White had an otherwise impressive game. Two great defenses.
It was hard-hitting defensive games like these that probably impressed John Robinson the most about Bo and his teams.
